"𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐲, 𝐰𝐡𝐨'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭? " A young boy asks his mother while looking at a 4 year old kid
girl who stared at him curiously.

"That's Y/N," His mother, Emiko, replied "She's my friend's daughter. And hopefully, you'll be friends too, Kenji. " Emiko rubs her son's shoulder reassuringly.

Kenji looked at his mom in confusion, but before he could speak, Emiko reached out to little Y/N and caresses her chubby cheek. Y/N could only let out a noise of discomfort and flailed her arms around.

Emiko smiled at the child, then looked over to her son.

"Come here, Kenji. Meet your new friend. " She said while ushering the boy to come closer.

The boy, although reluctant, hesitantly approached his mother and stared at the child, who also stared back at him making Kenji gasp dramatically and hide behind his mother.

"She keeps staring at me! " He said while clutching his mother's left arm.

Emiko chuckled in response and pushed her son towards the child, making Kenji scowl in response but didn't say anything and kept looking at the child in front of him.

"Keep her company, Kenji. I'll talk to her mom, your dad is on the way. " Emiko said to the boy, while Kenji hearing his dad being mentioned, looked at his mom with twinkles in his eyes and nodded hurriedly.

"Yes mommy, I'll take good care of her! " Kenji said, and pumped his fist in the air

Emiko smiled in relief and walked out the door, but not before glancing at the children who still stared at each and chuckled as she left.

Now, for the two children, Kenji had his arms crossed as he stared at the girl and Y/N was sitting cross legged while looking at the boy, not backing down from their little staring contests.

They were like that for 5 minutes. None blinking.

A few more minutes, and Kenji started to tear up as his eyes wanted to so badly blink.

"Gah! Fine you win! " Kenji yelled as he rubbed his eyes furiously and pointed at the child accusingly "You're a cheater! No way someone could stay with their eyes open for that long! " He accused, and gasped offendedly when Y/N stuck her tongue out.

Kenji, not taking the disrespect, stomped towards her "Hey! That's rude! " he said while furrowing his eyebrows to show her how angry he was, but sighed remembering that she couldn't speak.

Suddenly, a light bulb appeared on top of Kenji's head, making him grin widely at the new idea he thought of.

"Hey you, say Kenji. Ken-Ji. "

Y/N furrowed her eyebrows and tilted their head, looking at the boy who looked like an idiot.

"Ken... Ji..... Come on! Ken.... Ji! Kenji! "
The boy encouraged her and held her cheeks with both of his hands and squeezed.

"Ew, you look like a pufferfish. Anyway, Ken.. Ji! "

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?! " The boy yelled at the child who still looked nonchalantly at him.

"WHY WON'T YOU SAY KENJIIIIIIII?!?! " Frustrated, he started grabbing at his hair and slamming his forehead at a nearby desk.

Y/N, just reached towards the dragon plushie next to her and played with it making Kenji fume.

Y/N looked at Kenji when she heard sniffling. Seeing the boy rubbing his eyes frustratedly as tears fell out his eyes.

The girl, looked at the dragon plushie she was holding who also stared back at her, looked back at the still teary boy and held a determined look on their face.

"W-Why won't you listen to me-" The boy hiccuped out and looked at the child who was now in front of him, offering him their favorite pink dragon plushie.

"K-Kenji... No cry.. Kenji. "

Kenji looked at her in bewilderment. Before his eyes started twinkling with a big fucking grin, bigger than the cheshire cat's.

"YEHEYY! " Kenji squeeled and grabbed her by their shoulders before Y/N could even protest, and pulled her in a tight hug almost suffocating the both of them.

"You said it! You actually said my name! " Kenji yelled excitedly and broke the hug, before dragging her with him to slam the door open and into the Verlasseinne manor's halls. "We have to tell our parents!" Kenji said happily while dragging Y/N along with him, who also grinned in response. Happy that she made the boy smile again.

Finally finding the room where their parents were, Kenji slammed the fuck out of the door open shocking the four adults.

"Mom! Dad! She said Kenji! " Kenji said enthusiastically and looked at the child he dragged along, grinning as he saw her already nodding with a grin as big as his.

"Come on Y/N, " Kenji said before grabbing Y/N softly by her shoulders "Say it again! "

"Kenji... "

Emiko and Hayao, looked at the scenery in front of them where two children kept rolling on the floor while hugging each other, and both rolled down the stairs.

"Looks like they got along, I don't think they'll be separating soon, Hayao. " Y/N's father, Minato Verlasseinne, smiled warmly and patted Hayao's shoulder and looked at his wife, Akane Verlasseinne, who chased the two children who rolled down the very long Staircase.

Hayao chuckled in response, and put his arm around his own Wife's shoulder. "I'm sure they'll be... Inseparable. "

At the bottom of the staircase, two children were laughing madly before Kenji spoke up. "Hey, we'll be together forever, okay? " Kenji held his pinky finger up at Y/N "Pinky promise? " Kenji asked, looking desperately at Y/N, Who smiled at him and wrapped her own pinky finger with his, making Kenji grin.

"Pinky promise. "

And that, is how the story of the inseperable Kenji Sato, and Y/N Verlasseinne, started.
