"After a challenging season, you proved the skeptics wrong, " Ami said with a proud smile on her face as she waved her hand around as gestures. "brought the team together and rallied the Giant's into their first championship title in years."
"That's gotta feel good. " She continued.
Kenji laughed in reply, "I can't take the credit, it's this team, these guys. " He said with a soft look on his face, showing how proud he was of his team. "I'm just happy to be a part of it. "
"Earlier, I spoke with Shimura, who said. 'Ken Sato might be the finest player I've ever coached'". At her statement, Kenji widened his eyes slightly, surely not expecting that his coach thought highly of him. "'he exemplifies what it means to be a giant. '" She continued.
Kenji shyly looked at the ground, not exactly expecting that. But hey, it did feed his ego.
"Many critics, " he snapped out of his head hearing Ami speak again. "including myself, have noticed- a change. What do you attribute that to? " She questioned, Kenji already knew what his answer would be.
"I wouldn't be here without my family, simple as that. " He said without hesitation before continuing. "My dad, mom, and my wife, (Y/N), they made this possible-" He halted, a solemn look on his face. "I just wish my mom would be here to see this. "
