"Ready? " you asked as you threw kept throwing the ball up and down.

"Born ready! " Kenji said and held his bat over his shoulder, you nodded with a smirk on your face.

"Ichi.. Ni.. San.. Ball! " You threw a curveball which he successfully hit, making you smile proudly.

"Yeah! Now that's what I'm talking about! " He cheered as he pumped his fist in the air, but stopped to groan in pain and held his left shoulder.

You walked towards him, dropping the glove and softly putting a hand on his shoulder making him wince.

You rose your eyebrow as he avoided your eyes.

"Ken, are you injured? " You asked but before he could deny, Mina beat you to it and scanned him.

"Ken, it seems that you strained your rotator cuff during the battle. " Mina said while you took his bat away from him and gave it to Mina's robotic hand. The stadium dissapearing and is replaced with your underground mansion.

"Yeah, that's what I get for saving lives. " He groaned sarcastically and ushered you to follow him in which you did, but not before taking out your Nintendo Switch from your jacket's pocket.

"Ken, it is your duty to save lives. " You said as if it was a matter of fact as you opened the wall to your living area where you and Kenji's trophies and medals were held.

"Well pretty girl, I prefer saving my arm and leaving the Kaiju to the KDF." He replied and pushed you forward into the room softly.

"You know what happens when you leave it to the KDF. " Mina said as she followed both of you.

You sat down first, sitting down on the armrest instead while playing on your switch, Kenji followed closely behind and sat on the sofa just very few inches away from you And closed his eyes.

He chuckled and replied. "Yeah, I get a double-double, a chocolate shake, time with my girl, and a good night's sleep WITH my girl. " he opened his eyes and looked at Mina before continuing. "Now stop trying to be my mother. " He ordered, making you look at him as if he was a weirdo.

Kenji didn't say anything anymore and sighed, kicking underneath the sofa opening a hidden fridge and bent down to take a drink before he stopped.

He scoffed "Coconut water? " he looked at you accusingly.

"N/N, did you throw out my fancy fizzy drinks? " he asked with his face scrunched.

You shrugged without looking at him, and Mina replied for you.

"Healthy choices, healthy body. "
She mocked.

Kenji groaned and took a can, kicking the fridge closed and popping it open before taking a sip.

"Ugh-" he cleared his throat. "Mm, tastes just like fart. " he said with sarcasm laced in his tone.

"Now how do you know what fart tastes like? " You mocked and put away your Nintendo when your character died.

"Oh shut it-" "Ken, I was wondering if you would consider taking a break. "

Kenji looked at her confusingly.

"... From taking farts? " he asked, making you scoff and kick his head making him yelp.

"From baseball. " You continued for Mina, making him look at both of you with wide eyes and his mouth hung open.

"Give up the second thing that puts a smile on my face? " He scoffed and continued. "Sorry, no. TV please. " he ordered Mina making you sigh and rub your temples.

"Kenji, I'm gonna go and take a shower. Mina, please heat up the bathtub. " You said and was about to stand up from your seat until you yelped.

Kenji pulled you off the armrest by your calf and pulled you to him. With your thighs on top of his and placed his left hand on top of them and his right hand behind your back to support you.

"What? Without me? " Kenji asked as he furrowed his eyebrows and pouted at you. You nodded and replied. "Yes, I would like to shower alone, 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘸. " You said, standing up quickly off of his lap and walked to the elevator before he could reply.

Kenji watched the elevator doors shut and watched your figure dissapear.

𝘏𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 '𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘸. ' He thought as his attention went back to the TV.

But averted his attention away from the TV once he saw the elevator doors opening again, surprised and slightly scared when he saw you speed walking to him.

"Yeah I forgot you can't wash your hair alone because of your shoulder so come on. " You said and pulled at his not injured arm and pulled him to the elevator with him internally cheering as he followed.

A/N : Yes, they take baths together. They used to take baths together when they were children, but stopped when they started growing per their parent's orders. They started again when they turned 18 and they still do it now
