HASTINGS HAS THE HOTS FOR HART?
An alliteration lover's dream! Finn Hastings has been a very busy man lately, but it sounds like his efforts are paying off. Not only have additional dates been added to the completely sold-out U.S. tour, but he just might have found his next muse along the way.
In conversation with Sean Hill for GQ on Thursday, Hastings responded in a very cryptic way when asked where he's been finding his inspiration for album three.
"The go go go, the constant demand. It's got to be difficult to channel that creativity and artistic freedom required to write an album," Hill set it up. "How do you tap into that side of yourself with all of the noise? No pun intended."
Hastings laughed. "I've found that patience really is a virtue. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to work and I have to actively remind myself that good can be rushed but great takes time. If a track takes a bit longer, it's not necessarily a bad thing. So whenever I get that spark of inspiration, I run with it as far as it requires to create something great."
"What inspires you these days?"
"A lot of things," Hastings smirked before continuing. "A place. A feeling. A person."
"A person?"
"Sure, yeah."
"You know what you're doing. You're going to have your fans in a total frenzy, trying to figure out who said person is. Do we know who it is?"
"She knows who she is," he smiled in the Hastings way, ending the conversation.
Though vague, Hill was right. Fans were quick to comment their theories, doing the math to figure out that White Noise would have begun working on their highly-anticipated album right around the same time as Hastings started hanging out with Stella Hart. Curious.
"OMG HE'S TOTALLY TALKING ABOUT STELLA STOPPPPP," one user commented before continuing. "We're going to get a hard launch this tour, mark my words."
Though Hastings has also been seen on occasion with Steff Thorn's daughter, Aurora Thorn (most recently leaving a party on New Year's Eve), fans have been speculating about how serious their relationship has been.
"Look how miserable he looks," a fan commented on the papped NYE photos. "She's all over him and he looks like his dog died."
Whoever has inspired Hastings is one lucky girl.
