The song in the title is "Hope Ur Okay" by Olivia Rodrigo. This is part 13!! And this chapter will get dark. You have been warned.
Hailey's POV
I have known a boy since I was small,
A tow-head blonde, with eyes of salt
He sings in my music clubHis dad cared more about the money
Than being good to his own child
He wore long sleeves 'cause of his dad
And somehow, he found comfort in my company
Hope he doesn't hate me for running away 'cause that's what I do when I see a problemDon't know if I'll see you again someday
But if you're out there, I hope that you're okayMy middle school bully grew up alone
He raised his brother on his own
His ex-bestfriend hated who he loved
He couldn't wait to go away from it all
He was tired 'cause he was brought
Into a world where friendship was merely money
Does he know how proud I am, he was created
With the courage to unlearn all of the hatred
I can't meet him again but I just want to say
"I miss you, and I hope that you're okay"Address the letters, to the holes in my butterfly wings
Nothing's forever, nothing is as good as it seems
And when the clouds are ironed out
And the monsters creep into your house
And every door is hard to close
Well, I hope you know how proud I am, you were created
With the courage to unlearn all of the hatred
God, I hope that you're happier today
'Cause I love you, and I hope that you're okay
I always knew Drew was evil but this is a whole new side to him. My head is still pounding from the blow I got by Liam's baseball bat.
I feel sick and tired. Shannon must be terrified. Dad must be sleep deprived trying to find me. Bethany must be so disheartened. Zander must be pacing the hallway. Jake must be dying of concern but what can I do?
I feel helpless against these tight ropes and cold chains. Against these bruises and scars.
I think I'm going to die here. How will anyone ever find me, a missing teenage girl, in another teenage boy's basement?
It probably won't even matter. Wait are those footsteps?-
3rd Person POV
Hailey sat on a cold, cement floor, bound and gagged. Drew paced back and forth in front of her, looking like a predator pacing around its prey. Henry and Liam stood off to one side, looking uneasy and uncomfortable.
Liam spoke up, his voice nervous. "Drew, man, this is... this is messed up."
Drew stopped pacing and turned to Liam, his eyes narrow. "Shut up, Liam. You don't get to tell me what's right or wrong."
Liam took a step back, a hint of fear in his eyes. "I'm just saying, man. This is wrong. Kidnapping someone... it's not cool."
Drew walked over to Liam, getting in his face. "You're soft, Liam. You always have been, and you always will be. You're too damn weak to do what needs to be done."
Drew walks over to Hailey and kicks her in the stomach while Henry and Liam flinch. "Jake thinks he can ditch us for this blueberry. Then she will pay the price. She'll suffer so much that she'll beg us for death."
Liam and Henry exchange a worried glance, uncomfortable with the situation. Henry speaks up this time. "But this is extreme, man. We can't just hurt her like this. She didn't do anything wrong."
Drew's gaze snaps to Liam. "She is the reason Jake loves the music club so much that he'll ditch us to be there. She needs to learn a lesson, and this is the only way to teach her."
Henry fidgets nervously. "But do we have to do it like this? Can't we just talk to Jake, explain how we feel or something?"
Drew's face twists into a snarl. "You're as weak as Liam, Henry. Talking isn't going to solve anything. Actions speak louder than words."
Henry swallowed hard, looking panicked. "But kidnapping her... hurting her... it's not right. We should let her go and find another way to fix things with Jake. Think of yourself, if someone finds out then you'll be sentenced to prison."
Drew's eyes flash with anger. "No one is going to find out. And if they try to do so by any chance, I've got enough money to bail myself out of prison. Understood?"
Liam and Henry nod reluctantly, still feeling uneasy about the situation. "Yeah, we get it," Liam mutters. "But this just feels wrong, man. We're basically torturing her."
Drew's expression hardens. "Torturing her is exactly my intention. Or you can say, one of my intentions. This is a necessary sacrifice. We need to show Jake and everyone else that nobody comes between us and destroys what we've built together."
Henry's eyes widened in horror. "You're talking like a psychopath! This is messed up, man! Just because Jake's been busy with the music club doesn't give you the right to torture her like this."
Drew's gaze darkens. "I can do whatever I want with her and I will not let anyone, including you two, stop me. You're either with me or against me. So pick your side."
Liam and Henry exchange a glance, their expressions conflicted. They both look unsure, but they know they can't defy Drew. After a moment of hesitation, they speak in unison. "We're on your side, Drew."
Drew smiles a cruel, satisfied smile. "Good. I'm glad we're on the same page. Now, let's get back to what matters." He turns his attention back to Hailey.
Hailey looks up at him, her eyes wide with fear. She tries to struggle against the ropes binding her, but it's no use. She's completely helpless in the face of Drew's cruelty.
Drew crouches down in front of her, a smirk on his face. "So, little blueberry, are you enjoying our little get-together? I'm guessing you're not too thrilled about being here, are you?"
Hailey glares at him, her eyes filled with defiance. She tries to protest through the gag in her mouth, but all that comes out are muffled noises.
Drew chuckles darkly. "Ah, I see you're putting up a feisty front. That's cute. But it won't do you any good." He reaches out and grabs her chin, forcing her to look at him. "You see, you're in for a long, long time. And I plan to make sure you regret ever getting between me and Jake."
Liam and Henry look on helplessly, their faces pale and anxious. They clearly want to intervene or stop Drew, but they're too afraid of him. They glance at each other, silently willing the other one to step up.
Drew notices their hesitation and scoffs. "Quit your whispering, you cowards. If you're not gonna do anything, then shut up and watch. I'm gonna show you how things are done." He turns back to Hailey, a sadistic gleam in his eyes. "Now, where were we..."
Hailey tries to pull away from him, but Drew's grip is too strong. He pins her down, his face inches from hers. "You know, I always thought you were cute, in an annoying sort of way. But now that I have you all to myself, I think it's time to have a little fun."
Liam and Henry exchange horrified glances. Liam speaks up, his voice laced with desperation. "Drew, man, let her go. Please. We're begging you, just let her go."
Drew ignores him, his focus fully on Hailey. "Shut up, Liam. You're ruining the fun. Unless you want to join her, you should keep your mouth shut."
Liam falls silent, his eyes wide with terror. Henry looks like he's about to pass out. They both stand there, helpless and terrified, watching as Drew continues to torment Hailey.
So I'd like to clarify that Drew is kind of a psychopath in this AU (:
Sorry to all the Drew lovers
