AUTHOR'S POV

Rudra came back from his office and saw Tara with the twins playing in their room.

"Aagaye aap," Tara said happily, looking at Rudra. (You are back.)

"Rastey mai hun," Rudra replied, chuckling. (No, I am on my way.)

Tara smiled and handed him a glass of water, which Rudra drank.

"Dadda," the twins chirped.

Rudra smiled at them.

"No no, first go and freshen up," Tara said, stopping him.

Rudra nodded and went from there. Today, the twins were wearing normal clothes with big socks.

Rudra came out and changed into his daily wear. Tara was sitting on the bed with the twins. The twins were sitting in the center of the bed, inclined back against the headrest, watching cartoons. Tara was watching TV with them.

Rudra came back into the room and laid down, placing his head on Tara's lap, taking her off guard.

"I am tired, Tara," Rudra said, rubbing his eyes with his palms.

The twins glanced at their dad and then back at the TV. Tara caressed his hair softly, massaging it.

"What's stressing you, Rudra?" asked Tara softly, her fingers running through his hair, making him relax.

"There is some work at the office. We need an engineer who could help us with our computer work. We are lacking CS engineers in our company," Rudra said, sighing with irritation. The previous head of their department was caught stealing. Rudra had been busy with that fiasco after their reception, and the workload had burdened him. He couldn't give Tara any time. For the kids, Tara was there, but for her, he was not. And it was irritating him.

Tara listened to his problem and thought about whether to speak up or not. But seeing him so tired these days, she couldn't help herself. He came home late, worked until late, and was so busy. Tara understood his work well, but he wasn't taking care of himself. She tried to help as much as she could, but it wasn't enough.

"Rudra," she called him softly, rubbing his head in a circular motion.

"Hmm," Rudra hummed, feeling relaxed. It had been ten days since they both sat like this and talked. Just on their reception day, they spent time like this.

"I... um... I... can... uhm... help you?" Tara said nervously.

"Hmm, you can help me by staying with me," Rudra said, turning his head on her lap, his face facing the kids who were cuddling each other and looking at the TV. Rudra smiled at his babies.

"No, I mean, I think I can help you with the work," Tara asked again, struggling to find the right words.

Rudra thought about her words, trying to understand what she meant. He had never asked about her qualifications. Maybe she knew something about this field.

"You can?" asked Rudra, tilting his face upwards to look at her.

"Uhm... yes," Tara replied, blinking her eyes.

"Fine, you can help then. But I need to know about your qualifications if you are to work in my company. Though it won't matter since you are my wife, there are still some business ethics," Rudra said, turning his face back to the kids.

Tara blinked her eyes at him.

"Tara?" Rudra called when he didn't get any reply from her.

"IIT Delhi, major in CSE," Tara replied, licking her lips.
