It took me forever to fall asleep last night and when I did it was filled with dreams of Amelia. There is something about her that feels familiar. The way she fits in my arms as we danced. I wanted to pull her closer to me and never let go. The jasmine scent of her hair that I know I have smelt before. The sparkle in her bright blue eyes. I know that I felt something strong for her and I want to see where it goes.

I do not know why she ran off, but I plan to get answers. Maddie should know something about the woman who stole all my attention. Maybe Maddie can talk Amelia into coming to the cook out tonight. I would like to get to know Amelia and her girls better. I can feel that I am falling for this woman and I want to fall. I would be honored to have them as family. To be able to call them mine.

There I go jumping into something that I should take slow. She has two girls to think of and I do not want to scare any of them away from me. I need to take this slow if I want to have a chance with them. I have to put them first; I will always put them first. I want them to be a part of my life. I want to wake up every morning beside her. Spending our weekends with the kids.

There I go again falling down the rabbit hole. No matter what I do my mind is always on her. I am surprised that I got any work done this morning. I am worried that I lost my chance before it even started. She took off like the building caught fire. I do not remember doing anything wrong. I hope that I did not blow my chance with her.

*SMACK*

"Where did you go?" Ryan asked as he hit me upside the head.

"Thinking." I grumbled in reply.

"What were you thinking so hard about?"

"None of your business." I snapped at my younger brother. I instantly felt bad; I do not know why I did that. "I'm sorry, Ryan. I didn't mean to snap at you."

"It's no big deal. When you're ready to talk you will." He said, slapping me on the back as he head off for his truck. "Let's go get some lunch. We are going to Lucas' today."

"I'll follow you." I called out as I took off for my truck to head to my brother's house. It will save me from calling her. Maybe she can tell me about Amelia. I wonder when I will see her again. I cannot go five minutes without her running through my mind. Every thought leads back to her. The only person I have felt for like this was Ellie and Amelia is slowly starting to fill the hole inside my heart.

Walking into Lucas' I saw a little girl sleeping on his couch. I have not seen her before. She is softly snoring as she slept. Her blond hair is fanned around the cushion. Her leg hanging off the side and an arm covering her forehead. I could not take my eyes away from her. She is looking a little pale; is this Amelia's youngest child? She did say that her daughter has been sick.

"Still babysitting I see." I said when I made it into the dining room.

"Yep. The other kids are in the game room. I fed them before y'all got here. It's like a zoo here." Maddie laughed.

"Who's on the couch?" I asked as I took my seat between Lucas and Ryan.

"That's Kate, Amelia's youngest. She hasn't been feeling good today. I'm hoping that she sleeps it off for the cook out tonight." Maddie said from beside Lucas.

"So they are coming tonight?" I asked. Glancing around the table I could see my brothers' eyes on me.

"Yeah she should be here around two. She had to run to Wal-Mart so I offered to watch the girls." Maddie answered.

"Are you interested in her?" Grayson asked from his seat in front of me.

"Maybe."

"What about Ellie?" Aidan asked from beside Grayson.
