Life with Jackson has been falling into place. It is like we were never apart; like he has been beside me all this time. He is still my rock, the one holding me up when I need it. We have not seen or heard a word from Drew, but I know he would not give up easily. I can still remember all the times I tried to run away from him. All that did was put my girls in danger when he caught us. All the hospital visits, all the lies I said because I was defeated, and the pain in my daughters' eyes. I knew I had to do better for them and I promised myself that I would keep it no matter what our future held.

I will never forget the day that a nurse finally helped us. I filed charges and a restraining order, but he was out the next day thanks to my parents and his. I still managed to get us away from him. That only made him more resentful and I know he has been stewing. I have a feeling that he will show his hand sooner rather than later.

"When is breakfast ready?" Gabby asks breaking me free from my thoughts.

"It will be done soon. Why don't you go wake up your sister and tell dad the food is ready."

"Okay." She replies as she turns around to get her sister and dad.

Setting the table with a smile on my face. All thoughts of Drew have been replaced with ones of my family. The girls have been doing well since we moved in with Jackson. Gabby has been smiling a lot more and Kate has not been sick once. Thinking back to a month ago when Kate was sick all the time. A tummy ache and not being able to eat anything. I could not tell you what was wrong with her, but now she is doing better than ever. I have not seen her smile or laugh this much in a long time.

I believe that finding Jackson has saved us all. Gabby had to grow up fast and I do not like that. She has had no time to be a child. She would be the one that comforted her younger sister when Drew went off. Taking her into another part of the house. She would keep her calm and distracted. She would also care for me when I had no one else, but my girls to help me. I never want to go back to those days where all I could see is pain and worry in my childrens' faces.

"What are you thinking about?" Jackson whispers into my ear as he wraps his strong arms around me.

"How much our lives have changed since I told you everything. How the girls are happy and that is all thanks to you. I don't want to see the look of fear in their eyes again."

"I will do everything to keep y'all safe. I promise, Amelia. I would do whatever I have to do to keep y'all with me."

"I love you."

"I love you too, baby. Let's finish setting the table before the girls get in here. I got a call from Lucas saying that we need to meet him at mom's. I told the girls to get ready before we eat so we can leave right after."

"Is everything okay?" I ask as we finish setting the table.

"Too be honest it sounded serious."

"We will leave as soon as we get done eating." I tell him as the girls walk in dressed for the day. I am glad that I got ready before leaving my bedroom.

"Are y'all ready to see G-ma and Gramps?" Jackson asks the girls as we began to make our plates.

"Emma said that she will be there too." Gabby replies with her eyes shining bright as she spoke.

"Sofia too?" Kate questions.

"Yes, she will be there too. I'm pretty sure Noah will be too." Jackson replies smiling over at Kate.

"I can't wait!" Kate exclaims as she began to eat.

"The faster we eat the sooner we can leave." Gabby says to her younger sister.
