"Where is Kami and them at, vro? We've been sitting here for 15 minutes!" Kūrī huffed as he, Besū, Tankue, and the twins—Furai and Kinso—were gathered at the regular rendezvous spot.
"Seems like they ain't coming—" Besū shrugged as he leaned back against the tree he sat up under.
"Sooo..." Kinso trailed off. "Where they at?" He and Furai responded in unison.
Kūrī rolled his eyes. "Ain't no telling, you'd think they would say something before they left!"
Tankue paced back and forth, random thoughts flooding his mind.
"Well I'm tired of waiting—what we doing? I'm ready to get into something!" He began to grin vigorously.
Kūrī let out a nervous chuckle, realizing what Tankue wanted to do.
"Nah, Tank, I don't think it's a good idea to slide without Kami, or rest of them!" He assured.
Tankue scoffed. "Then what? Why Kami have to be here for us to slide? He ain't our leader, we can function without him!"
"Nah—" Besū interjected. "Kami's strategic—tactical! He knows how to get in and out without any mishaps! Without Kami, we'll get caught before we even get a chance to get in. So let's just find something else to do before we have to head back to training!" Besū reassured.
The twins gave each other a knowing look before scoffing in unison. "—And you're not either one of those, Besū. You always act like you can't pull nothing off?" Furai questioned.
Besū paused, considering Furai's words carefully. "Look, I get it—" He said finally. "—But Kami's not just about strategy. It's about trust too. We move as a team, or not at all."
Furai nodded, acknowledging the point. "Yeah, but sometimes we gotta adapt, right?" He replied, glancing at Kinso for support.
Kinso shrugged, his gaze shifting between the group. "Maybe Kami and them got held up. We could start scoping things out on our own, right?"
Kūrī sighed, rubbing his temples.
"Alright, let's just hold tight a bit longer. If they don't show, then we just have to find something else to get into before we head back."
Tankue smirked, seemingly satisfied with the compromise. "I'm on whatever y'all on!" He chimed in, looking around at the group.
Besū chuckled. "We don't always have to get into something, we could just sit here and enjoy the peace for once."
Tankue scoffed playfully. "Peace ain't our style, Besū. You know that."
Kūrī shrugged. "Yeah, but sometimes a breather ain't bad either."
The twins exchanged a mischievous glance before Furai spoke up. "True, but sitting around won't keep us on our toes like lick."
Kinso smirked. "How about we just wait a bit longer, and if Kami and them don't show, we can at least scope out the areas we already hit then?"
Besū shook his head. "We ain't going to hit anything today, alright? Let's focus on something else."
Tankue scratched his chin thoughtfully. "How about we practice our functions? Shadow box, train a bit, something?"
Kūrī nodded in agreement. "Not a bad idea. Keeps us sharp." He said as he bounced up and down on his toes, sparring with the air.
The twins exchanged a glance before Kinso chimed in. "Or we could just chill, play some cards or something."
