Heket has been teaching you a whole lot of tips and tricks to achieve a plentiful harvest every time, from spacing out the seeds, to the amount of water each seedling needs, to identifying how mature the plant is. With all the help on understanding agriculture, you do not need to worry about the cult going hungry anytime soon, however, the amount that you need to harvest is beginning to be too much for you, you mentioned this to Heket, and asked her if she could help you out; at first, she said no, but you struck a deal with her. Every day she will be the first one to eat, and if she is still somewhat hungry, she can have seconds or thirds, that is when you realize she is very food-motivated.

It is the first morning of your agreement with Heket, seeing that she is still sleeping, you start your solo morning routine of praying at the graves, and tending to your growing flower garden, wanting to give the energy boost in the morning you made her a quick basic meal.

As you are about to wake her up, she emerges from her tent, she makes her way to you, and you give her the meal.

"Good morning, Heket" You say quietly while signing to get your practice in.

"Morning" she signs back with one paw, you wait for her to finish eating, and considering it is Heket, she finishes quickly, you take the bowl away from her to put it away later and she signs again, "Thank you" but then she signs something new that you have not seen before, you understand the first and the last sign but not the second.

First, she points to herself: "I"

Second, she crosses her arms and puts her paws on her chest. You do not know this.

Third, she points to you: "you"

"Heket, what does this mean?" You copy her sign, but she ignores you, you decide to ask her later thinking she is still a little too tired to explain.

She makes her way to the pumpkin patch first, this did not surprise you at all, as you found out that pumpkins are her favourite and anything that has pumpkin in it is good in her book, unfortunately for Heket, the pumpkins are still growing and are not ripe yet.

"It's alright Heket, if I remember what you taught me, the pumpkins should be ready to harvest soon" You got hold of her paw, "Come on, there are still things that need to be harvested."

When you go to a different area of the farm and let go of Heket's paw she does the same mystery sign again.

"Heket, I still don't know what that sign means" She ignores you again, you start to worry about her, you try not to focus on it too much because other than her doing this mystery sign, she is acting normally.

You start to check on the grapes, but you cannot help yourself as you look at the plump grapes, you pop one in your mouth, and it tastes great, temptation gets the best of you, and you have another one.

"Heket, try this, it's really good!" You give her a few grapes and begin to pluck the grapes from the vine and put them in a small woven basket, but still eat a few grapes as you do so.

She could only look at you with awe, you catch her looking at you, "Come on, don't be shy, try them" You give her a reassuring smile, and continue to collect the grapes.

At last, everything has been harvested and has been put away and you start to prepare the Followers meal, you sneakily give Heket a bigger portion as a thank you and a job well done.

When all the Followers finish eating you go straight to do all your other chores, while you are too focused on your duties, you fail to notice the scheming that is going on.

During the midday you can feel your stomach start to grumble, you regret having a small portion this morning, you then feel a tap on your shoulder causing you to jump in surprise, you turn to see Heket, and as soon as you are about to ask her what she needed, she grabbed your paw and dragged you away.

She takes you to a quiet area of the cult away from Followers. There is a red blanket and a picnic basket, she takes you to sit on the blanket, but you face her, wanting an explanation and she does the unknown sign again.

"Heket, what's going on? What is all this?"

"Shamura made the blanket, Leshy cooked and Kallamar translated for Leshy"

"That does not answer my question at all"

"Shut up and eat" Heket reaches for the basket and takes out a pie, she cuts it and hands you a slice, you look at her one more time and take a bite, Leshy outdid himself with the grape pie.

You are about to ask Heket why she is doing all of this until you see something sticking out of the basket, you take it out while Heket is looking away, it is a paper with something written down.

"In ancient days, I was a Bishop of famine,
I remain soundless, due to blood relations, now punished.

Now as a mortal, forced to be quiet,
My heart now speaks in volumes, yet I remain silent.

I wish to speak of love, but the sign knowledge is not noted,
So I write these verses, but to prideful to show it.

They learn to sign, they learn the harvest,
I learn the sign, I learn to show it.

My heart screams for me to show it, I now know I must do it.

Show them I care, worship them as I was worshipped,
tell them I love them, till mortality revokes it."

Your eyes begin to water as you read the poem quietly out loud to yourself, Heket must have heard you because she is looking at you, although her face is already red, you can see a beeper shade forming.

You now know what she has been signing to you all day, you put the paper close to your chest with one paw, and hold Heket's with your free one, your own voice is now stuck in your throat, but you hope that the small gesture conveys your own feelings.
