Trigger warning: suicide
(3 1/5 years ago: the day Charlie brought Vaggie home)

"CHARLIE, WHO'S THE NEW PERSON?" Nifty was running around jumping up and down. Nifty looked at the little demon in Charlie's arms, she looked so tiny, so hurt.

"Is she dead?"
"No"
"she looks dead"

The new hyped-up cleaner shuffled over to where the 2 demons were standing, she raised her mop to Vaggie's arms and started to clean her.

"Nifty, what are you doing?"

"Cleaning"

Nifty had her signature grin on her face, smiling brightly as she blinked her big round eye. Her eye took up almost all of her face, Charlie always found Nifty to be very adorable. She was 22 but she was only about 121cm the size of a 7-year-old. Compared to Charlie's 195cm, she was very tiny. Even besides vaggie, who was around 165cm she was still very tiny.

Nifty climbed into Charlie's shoulders, trying to get the blood off,

"Nifty?" The blood had dried up so badly it was almost impossible to get it off.
"Nif, it's not going to help"

Shortly after putting Nifty and Vaggie down, Charlie grabbed the first aid kit. Bandaging Vaggie's arms, Vaggie was moving a lot more than she had her eye an hour before. Making sure not to wake Vaggie up, she gave Vaggie her hand in hopes it would keep her from waking up.

"Is she gonna be okay?"
"She will be,"
"You sure?"
"Yes"

It took a few days, but slowly, by slowly. Vaggie started life more and more. No longer was she a shy lil blob, she was weary, fast to anger, jumpy. And very very bad at talking. She was nothing like how she would become in her later years at the hotel.

A week after Vaggie's arrival it was time for everyone to get introduced, even though the only staff member they had was their cleaner. Charlie grabbed her and Vaggie and dragged them

"Nifty, I want you to meet our new guest Vaggie. She's gonna stay with us for the foreseeable future."
"A new guest?"

"She got hurt during the last extermination, a stab to the eye. She's been hurt badly. Her whole eye ripped out."

Nifty listened to the story intensely bouncing up and down on her little legs. Shifting her weight from left to right.

"Is she gonna be okay?"
"Yes, I am"

Vaggie's voice was still horse as she spoke. Making it sound more like she had the flu then an eye ripped put her face. It sounded rather adorable to Charlie, she was enjoying every moment she had with Vaggie.

"You know Vaggie, you're still as beautiful even without your left eye."
"Really?"
"Really"

The sweet innocent smile of the tall demon princess slowly transformed into a bright hope-filled smile. Maybe this "sinner" would want to redeem herself.

"Can I bap her?"
"WATCH IT TINY!" Vaggie shouted out.

Nifty Bounced back with a shill yelp, she wasn't expecting this hard of a response from a "fellow sinner.'

After seeing Nifty's immediate shock Vaggie felt so bad for upsetting her new friend.
"Sorry tiny, I'm just not a fan of physical touch."
"Huh," the small cleaner blinked d a few times, trying to comprehend what Vaggie had meant.,
"Okay, I'm Nifty"
"Hi nifty, my name is Vaggie, nice to meet you"

(Present time)
These few words were the start of a great friendship, it had holes and flaws. But the friendship remained? 3 and a half years later, Nifty was upset by the news of her best friend's passing. Her world had fallen apart, Charlie desperately trying to hold it together. Trying to keep her little friend from completely breaking down.

"Charlie, I- I found something"

It being Vaggie's old room there had been a ton of old stuff, Vaggie her old vent journal included.

"Huh, Nifty may I?"
"Here"

Nifty handed the small black book over to Charlie, reading the first few words she knew. Vaggie was Lucky to even have made it this long...
