We sat in the cockpit of the sleek Jedi cruiser, watching the stars streak by as we approached Naboo. My heart pounded with a mix of anticipation and anxiety. Obi-Wan, seated next to me, radiated calmness, a steady anchor amidst the swirling uncertainties.
"Approaching the blockade, Master Qui-Gon," the pilot announced.
Qui-Gon Jinn stepped forward, his presence commanding yet serene. "Remember, Luna, Obi-Wan, diplomacy first. We must avoid conflict if possible."
I exchanged a glance with Obi-Wan, his eyes filled with determination. "Understood, Master," we both replied.
As we exited hyperspace, the massive Trade Federation ships loomed ahead, their dark forms a stark contrast to the peaceful planet of Naboo behind them. The blockade was a formidable sight, a silent declaration of power and intimidation.
"We are receiving a transmission," the pilot said, his voice tense.
"On screen," Qui-Gon instructed.
The visage of Nute Gunray, Viceroy of the Trade Federation, appeared. His expression was one of smug confidence. "Jedi Knights. This is a restricted area. Turn your ship around."
"Viceroy, we come in peace," Qui-Gon began diplomatically. "We wish to discuss terms and end this blockade."
Gunray's eyes narrowed, his demeanor shifting to one of cold hostility. "There will be no negotiation."
The transmission ended abruptly, and the ship shuddered violently. "We're being fired upon!" the pilot exclaimed, his hands moving swiftly over the controls.
"Brace yourselves," Obi-Wan said, his voice steady. "We need to find a way past them."
The ship rocked as blaster fire erupted around us. Qui-Gon remained calm, his voice a beacon of authority. "Pilot, evasive maneuvers. Head for the planet's surface."
The pilot nodded, his face set in concentration as he maneuvered the ship through the barrage. I gripped the armrest, my pulse quickening with each jolt.
"Luna, prepare for landing," Obi-Wan instructed, his tone firm yet reassuring. "We need to be ready to act the moment we touch down."
"Understood," I replied, my voice steadier than I felt.
