Chapter 17 - Return to Naboo

The decision to return to Naboo weighed heavily on us all. Queen Amidala's determination to confront the Trade Federation and free her people from oppression echoed through the corridors of the Jedi Temple. Obi-Wan and I stood by her side, our resolve unwavering despite the risks ahead.

As we boarded the ship bound for Naboo, the atmosphere was tense yet charged with a sense of purpose. Queen Amidala sat with quiet dignity, her handmaidens and advisors gathered around her. Obi-Wan and I exchanged a knowing glance, silently reaffirming our commitment to support her in whatever challenges lay ahead.

"Luna," Obi-Wan began, his voice low and earnest. "We must be cautious. The Council's eyes are upon us."

I nodded, understanding the gravity of his words. "Our bond, it must remain hidden," I replied softly. "The Code forbids attachments."

Obi-Wan sighed, his expression conflicted yet resolute. "I know," he murmured, his gaze searching mine. "But my feelings for you... they grow stronger with each passing day."

My heart fluttered at his confession, the depth of our connection undeniable. "And mine for you," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. "But our duty to the Jedi Order..."

"We cannot afford to be reckless," Obi-Wan interrupted gently, his hand reaching out to gently touch mine. "The path ahead is uncertain, Luna. We must tread carefully."

I leaned into his touch, finding solace in his presence. "Together," I murmured, a vow and a prayer wrapped into one.

Together, we faced the daunting challenges ahead, our hearts intertwined yet our love hidden in the shadows cast by duty and destiny.
