"Kakucho, I've been wondering" Takeomi said as him and Kakucho were in the meeting room alone. Kakucho working on his laptop, that he likes to keep in the meeting room, and Takeomi just sitting there and smoking. He wanted to leave but he wanted to ask a question from Bonten's number 3 first. "Why exactly did you hire this girl to take care of Mikey? She doesn't seem like the type who belongs around criminals."
"You know" Kakucho started as he stopped typing and leaned back on his chair. "When I was young I had to go to an orphanage. When I got there I noticed how caretakers weren't really doing their jobs, they just did enough so we won't die. But there was a girl there, she was always smiling and she tried to help everyone she could. She was very jumpy tho, everything scared her. She took care of everyone, including me when I got there. She was just a little older than me but she tried her best.
Izana didn't like her. He said that she's fake, that there's no way someone would be this happy after being abandoned and would want to take care of everyone. Not many people liked her, she was a people pleaser. But once me and Izana saw her alone... She broke down. She finally let the whole concept of that orphanage sink in and she let it all out. She was never brave, she was never an angel, she was never a ball of sunshine. She knew how much the caretakers ignored us. She was just a kid, like we were at the time. A kid who simply had the mentality to try and change things no matter how weak she was both mentally and physically. Just a kid who had a mentality and was stubborn enough to try and change what she could."
"What happened to her?" Takeomi asked as he looked at Kakucho.
"She showed her true colors" Kakucho continued with a smile. "When no one saw her she was being the kid she always wished to be. And Izana realised that she never thought that she was better than everyone. She was just a kid with a good heart who was willing to take on the burden of every kid in the orphanage, she gave everything to them that she never had. She was just a kid, younger than most of the kids there, but she took on the role of the mother and took care of everyone there.
Izana saw her mentality tho. He saw how stubborn she was and what she was like when she didn't show that fake personality that she created. He liked the real her, so she became our friend. It was just us three, we didn't need a family, we had each other. She joined Izana's games; Izana the King, she was the Princess and I was the Servant. We taught her to fight; I taught her how to keep her good heart, but still not be a people pleaser; Izana taught her how to be brave and don't give a shit about anything that doesn't benefit her, and how to not flinch whenever she was scared, to never show if she was scared; and she took care of us.
She kept Izana sane, she calmed him down. She was the only mother figure we had, and she took on our burdens and sadness; she was able to help Izana even tho she was younger than him. He did beat her up a few times for being this kind to everyone, but she didn't care. She said that if she is able to do it then she will, only the breakable ones will break under the pressure. Izana was stubborn, but she was more stubborn than anyone else. She always stayed by our side, and she was a secret member of the generation S-62. She led everything from behind the curtains.
