Chapter 5

"Mikey" Y/n yelled cheerfully when she came home and walked through the front door of her and Mikey's shared house. "I have news from the doctor."

"You were at the doctor?" Mikey asked worridly from the couch. "If you're sick I'm just reminding you that you are a legal doctor too."

"It was a different reason, silly" she laughed. "I'm not sick."

"Then why were you at the doctor?" the white haired male asked his wife.

"Remember when two months ago you said you want a family after Takemichy visited us?" she asked.

"Yeah, why?" Mikey asked back.

"I missed my period" Y/n said.

"And?"

"What do you mean and?" she asked confused.

"What did the doctor say? Is everything okay with your period?" Mikey furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"You really are clueless, aren't you?" Y/n laughed before giving a bear hug to Mikey. "For twat McFuckknuckle's sake, I'm pregnant!"

"Wait, for real?" Mikey asked shocked.

"Yes" Y/n yelled as Mikey tackled her in an even bigger hug.

Mikey always wanted to have a family. He always dreamed about it when he was younger, he wanted a big family just like he had.

After losing his family he was hoping to maybe get it back one day, and now the chance to have a new family is right infront of him. The girl of his dreams is pregnant with his baby. A chance for him to finally get back something that he lost once.

He was never really able to see a future for himself. He burried himself in the darkness just so his friends could have a happy life.He was living in the darkness. He made his choices and he chose to destroy his own happines for them.

Y/n was the opposite of him. She burried herself in pain and suffering for years, trying to shoulder everyone else's pain just so they could live a happy life. But she was living in the light, she was the light. She made choices and she was still able to find happiness while living the life of a criminal. She could've had a bright future, she could've been a doctor. With her mentality she could've become a self-made billionaire. But she chose to stay in the darkness with Mikey and she chose to show him that he does have a future.

And his future is with her and their child, who is unknown if it will be a boy or a girl. She stayed with him, showed him happiness and helped him heal. She helped him out of the rabbit hole, that's why he swore to always protect her.

And right now, he may be doing too much, because he's afraid that even the wind could hurt his, now 5 month, pregnant wife, so he made her wear a thich jacket and warm clothes, even tho it's the middle of spring.

Time was going so fast for the married couple, it's like they just found out they were expecting a kid, and now the due date for the delivery is august 20th, which means Mikey will share his birthday with his kid.

Today is the day when they will find out the baby's gender.

"Do you have a name picked out? One if it's a boy and one if it's a girl?" the doctor asked as she was doing an ultrasound, trying to see the baby's gender.

"It's a gender neutral name that we chose" Y/n said while holding her husband's hand. "We will name the kid after someone who was important for the both of us, mostly me tho."

"Was? I'm guessing it's someone who passed away then" the doctor said.

"Yeah, it's a rule for us. Bestfriend passed away? Our kid will wear his name then" Y/n said with a sad smile. "He was only my bestfriend, but his death affected both of our lives so much that we agreed to name the baby after him."

"My condolences" the doctor answered. "I'm guessing you don't want more kids in the future?"

"We'll see that when we get there" Mikey nodded, speaking for the first time since they got there. "Can you see the gender already?"

"Yep" she answered. "Do you want me to write it down and keep it a secret for the gender reveal party?"

"No, you can say it" Y/n said, choosing to keep quiet about the fact that there won't be a party.

Not because she does not want one, but because they're criminals. Buying stuff for a gender reveal party would be dangerous. There are many people who want to get rid of both Mikey and his wife, and if it will be known among rival criminal organisations that the leader of Bonten will expect a child it could end very badly.

Mikey wants to keep safe both his wife and his baby. His chance to finally get a family, something that he lost, is something that he never imagined. He never saw a future for himself, he knew he will be deep in a rabbit hole and he stopped thinking about the future.

But now he has someone who not only showed him a future, but also is helping him create that future. His wife is his bestfriend, his partner in crime, his soulmate; she's his everything. She showed him that he deserves to be loved, he deserved to be happy, he deserves to have a future. She showed him how to be happy even in the darkest times and she became the light that can guide him in the pitch black darkness.

She became a painter and painted his black heart to the most beautiful red, she painted his colorless world to so many colors that Mikey didn't even knew this many colors existed.

She loved him when he looked like he was on the verge of dying, and she didn't leave. Anyone would leave when they find out their lovers are slowly killing themselves, but she didn't. She ran into that darkness, grabbed his hand and became his lighthouse.

She became his home when he thought he doesn't belong anywhere.

And she stayed with him until he healed, and even after. He will forever love her for that, and he will worship the ground she walks on, because the ground made it possible for her to walk into his life. And he would do anything to protect her, because he finally sees a future. She is his future.

"It's a girl."
