Chapter 2

『Reader POV』  

As we sip our coffee, I can't help but notice the excitement bubbling in Cyno's eyes. He's always been the kind to keep his plans close to the chest, relishing the surprise more than the actual event sometimes. Tighnari, on the other hand, is more methodical, often carrying a notebook filled with sketches, notes, and ideas for his next great discovery.

"So.." Sethos says, leaning back in my chair. "What's this big surprise you two have cooked up? Is it another one of Tighnari's wild experiments?"

Tighnari chuckles, shaking his head. "Not this time. Although, I do have something in mind for later. But today's adventure is a bit more... relaxing."

Cyno smirks, taking a sip of his coffee. "Yeah, we're not going to make you drink any weird concoctions today. Promise."

Sethos looks at them both suspiciously. "Should we be worried?"

"Nope," Cyno replies, popping the 'p' with a grin. "But you should be excited. It's something beautiful, I guarantee it."

Sethos raises an eyebrow. "Beautiful, huh? You've definitely piqued my interest.", he replies with sarcastic exitement at Cyno's vague description. "Aw, come on. Don't be like that now." He ruffles his friend's hair playfully. "Hey, leave my poor hair."

"You know how I feel now?" I interrupt and laugh at Sethos as he fixes his low, slightly messy ponytail. "Yea, whatever..." He mumbles to himself.

After finishing our drinks and catching up a bit more, we finally set out, Cyno and Tighnari leading the way. We walk through town, the streets familiar and bustling with weekend activity. Sethos and I exchange curious glances, some a bit too intense for my taste, trying to guess where they might be taking us.

Once we reach the outskirts of town, Cyno turns to us with a sly grin. "Alright, we're almost there. Just a few more minutes' walk."

We follow a narrow path that winds through a small grove of trees. The air is fresh and fragrant with the scent of blooming flowers and earthy undertones. As we walk, I notice Tighnari scribbling in his notebook, occasionally stopping to examine a plant or flower along the way.

Sethos nudges me and I twitch at the sudden proximity. He chuckles at my scaredy-cat behavior. "Any guesses yet?"

I shake my head, sighing. "Not a clue. And you know I hate surprises."

Finally, we emerge from the grove, and the sight before us takes my breath away for a brief moment. Spread out in front of us is a vast flower field, a vibrant sea of colors stretching as far as the eye can see. There are countless varieties of flowers, their petals shimmering in the sunlight like a natural tapestry.

"Wow," I breathe, taking in the stunning view. "I... don't know what to say."

Cyno and Tighnari exchange triumphant smiles. "We thought you'd like it," Tighnari says, his voice soft with pride as he places his hand on my shoulder. "This field is a bit of a hidden gem. Not many people know about it."

Sethos walks ahead, his eyes wide with wonder. "How did you guys find this place?"

Cyno shrugs. "We stumbled upon it during one of our hikes a while back. Thought it would be perfect to show you both." He grins smugly and looks between me and Sethos, making us exchange a glance. I blush faintly, our eyes locked as I realize what Cyno's implying. Sethos, on the contrary, seems oblivious. "You-" 

"Shhh..." Tighnari chuckles and places his finger on my lips. "He's absolutely clueless, don't worry." I nod quickly, brushing the feeling of my heart throbbing in my chest off.
