chapter 9

niall didn't show up. at all. i was left alone working on this project. it was 11:30 when i got the text."sorry i couldn't make it. i had stuff to do."helpful niall. really helpful.

i was mad. niall didn't show up and i had finished basically half the project by myself. my thoughts lingered as i got dressed for a dreaded day at school. as i put on my makeup i thought of how i would approach niall today. either "NIALL WHAT THE FUCK" or "thanks for all of your help you asshole." yeah its all planned out.. kinda..

"have a good day" maria tells me as a walk out of the door."thanks you too"i make my way to the empty bus stop to await the crowd smelly bus. i wondered if Niall would show up now so i could get my speech out of me, that was still being formed in my head... the bus showed up but no sign of niall.

"so he didn't show up at all?!?" katy proclaimed. 

"no! i am so pissed you don't even know"

"girl i would be too. i tell you what. don't even work on that project until he gets his shit together and helps."

"hmm i like that. good thinking katy."

we made our way into the loud cafeteria and got in line for lunch."ooo i wonder what 'gourmet' food we have today," i joked."i know right. maybe we'll be lucky and get actually chicken." katy joked with me. i was then shoved up against her when someone knocked into me. "oops"i turn around and its him. the dreaded niall horan. 

"we need to talk""well what do u need to say mr I'm not gonna show up.""can we not talk here please."my arm is gently tugged out of the lunch line into the outdoor seating area.

 "talk"

"first off I'm sorry i didn't mean to ditch you its just uh.."

"its just what??""i was with some of the lads and we kinda got drunk and i fell asleep and didn't realize the time. I'm sorry lex i-"

"you know what. its fine niall. i mean i wish you could have considered you had somewhere to be ager and not drink but it was a mistake.

"seriously your letting me off easy?'

"well theres half a project left. do it."
