im actually gonna try and put a lot of effort in my chapters and not write some last minute plot. i will start writing and on the weekends post them. we will see how this works out…
Niall POV
I wasn't trying to be rude to Alexis. I think my bad morning had caused this moodiness.
“Uh, Niall?”
“What?”
“Do you know the answer to this question? I'm, um, a little confused.”
“If you combine the acid to the compound it will bubble.” >>AN: i don't take chem yet excuse my stupidity. now back to niall…<<
“Oh, ok. Thanks.”
We awkwardly asked each other if we had questions through the class.
“So...when do you have time to work on the poster board?” I asked her.
“I'm usually free all the time after school so whenever you are free.”
She gives me a small smile and the bell rings. She grabs her backpack and starts to make her way to the crowded doorway.
I quickly grab her arm and pull her back.
“I can do after school today.”
She stares into my eyes then quickly nods and catches up to Katy.
Alexis POV
Chem class was a tad awkward. Maybe if Niall comes over tonight we can get this project over and done with.
“what did Niall pull you back for?” Katy asks.
“Oh, he just wants to work on the project tonight.”
“Ah, I see.”
We went to our boring ass morning classes then made our way to lunch.
“I need to use the bathroom. I'll meet you at the usual table.” Katy said.
I made my way to the cafeteria and stood in line to await the great food they would be serving. (And by great I mean terrible.) Fortunately it was a classic: spaghetti and meatballs.
I made my way to the lunch table and sat down in my usual spot. I didn't see any of the girls around. They must still be in line or all using the bathroom. I stare at my cold spaghetti and suddenly feel a presence next to me.
“Oh hey guy— wait, Niall?”
Niall POV
For some reason I had the feeling I should sit with Alexis. She was alone for once at her table. I wonder where her friends were. I made my way to the table and sat right next to her.
“Oh hey guy— wait, Niall?”
“Hey. How's the spaghetti? Delicious huh?”
“It's average...why are you sitting here?”
“I, uh, just wanted to. You seemed lonely. Where are your friends?”
“Oh, I'm not sure.”
Silence filled the air. I made eye contact with Liam and his eyes widened.
“So, um, tonight's good for you for the...um...the project?” I asked.
“Yeah, it's good.”
“I think Liam wants to talk to me. See you next period.”
And with that I walked away. For some reason talking to her made me nervous. I could always talk to girl's. Something was different about her.
Alexis POV
When Niall sat down beside me I was very surprised. We had such a small chat then he left to sit with Liam. Where are the girls?
As I'm about to get up and throw away my food, I see Katy and Sophia rushing over.
“I'm so sorry Alexis!! I finished up at the bathroom and I ran into Sophia who needed help with something and I-“
“Katy, it's okay!” I said slightly giggling over her flustered attitude.
“Ugh, I'm so sorry girly. Are you heading out?”
“Yeah I think I'm gonna do some research for the chem project in the library.”
“Okay! See you in literature.”
I walked out of the lunchroom and into the library. I started my research.

School was finally over. I was making my way to the exit when a hand pulled me back. I turned to see Niall.
"I'll be over around 3:45. Okay?”
“Yeah that's okay. I'll be there.
“Could I uh have your number? In case I'm running late or whatever.”
“Um, sure.”
We swapped numbers and I started my walk back home.

I walked in and greeted Bill and Maria.
“Do you mind if a friend comes over to work on a project with me?”
“Of course Alexis. Anyone is welcome!!” Maria replied.
“Okay great! Thank you.”

It was past 4:30. I hadn't received a text or phone call.
I guess he wasn't coming.
I'm sorry this is a cliffhanger ending but i decided since i hit 1K reads i would update!! once again thank you so much for voting and reading it means a lot love u all :)
