We do it for our emotions

Something you don't understand
Is something you must know
We don't know how to tell you
We don't know how to show
Show you how we really feel
Show you what makes us tick
Or maybe it's just me
Maybe I'm alone on this trip
Maybe I'm the only one
Who feels this way all the time
Perhaps things are said and done
For a reason, perhaps to make things shine.
Make other things
Seem brighter than they are
So that I can enjoy them
Before I've gone afar.
