#11, Its all about me

Another one of my poems. And here you go, this ones long. BTWs it's not a selfish one or anything, but it's basically telling a story and then at the end it says would you believe it's all about me, and it's true. So yeah that's way it's called that.

You know the girl
With the smile so bright.

She tells you just
To hold on tight.

She's saved so many
Lives you see.

With encouraging words
And ecstasy.

She never lies
Or so you thought.

Because of all
The joy she brought.

Who would have thought
It was all just to hide?

Who would have thought
She was torn inside?

She didn't know the reason
She had a happy home.

Who would have thought
She'd have the syndrome

She tried to make
Others smile.

But she herself
Fought for a while.

She had been bullied
as a child.

Who would have thought it could lead to this?

It was an ordinary day
And the school.

They went for a swim
In the local pool.

That was the first
But certainly not the last.

Her friend saved her
Before she became the past.

She tried
And tried again.

But each time
She didn't come to an end.

She started to realise
That she was doing this.

To see if anyone
Trully cared.

But only one did
Only one noticed.

2 years later
She was still breathing.

But she started to feel
different again.

She found out
Her mother was the same.

Thanks to her stupid grandparents
Who put her through pain.

Her sisters had been though the worst
Betrayed by their best friend.

How could they go on
Yet she wanted to be dead.

She hadn't been through the worst
So why was it her?

She would stare out the window
And think at night.

How long would I survive
In that forest, not right.

She thought about the end
And silently drew to cope

But they all became
A girl, hanging from a rope.

This phase again past
But she wasn't the same again.

The summer came
And she faked her smile.

She couldn't go in the pool
Afraid she'd try.

She is still living
But she's not sure for how much longer.

She's trying her hardest
And telling others to hold on.

People who know
Forget.

She's just that good an actor
She even believes herself sometimes.

Until she cries
Silently at night.

She stays up late
She just can't sleep.

Not a little
Not a peep.

Now I know this seems
So far fetched.

That someone could lie
But still not shed

A single tear
In front of you all

But just trust me
This is all true

A true story
That I'm telling you

Would you believe
That this story

Every word
You see

It's.
All.
About.
Me.
