Ravenpaw awoke to the sound of Foxstar yowling for a clan meeting; "All cats gather for a clan meeting!"
Ravenpaw tiredly got up and trotted out of the den. He say next to his mentor, Hornet claw, and Ottercloud.
Foxstar spoke from the Highrock. "Lionfern has been killed unsuspectingly by an oncoming DeathClan patrol. His body was taken, like some sort of... 𝑇𝑟𝑜𝑝ℎ𝑦."
Everyone gasped, shock quickly making them freeze up. Ravenpaws' eyes widened in fear. Why would DeathClan kill their deputy?
Foxstar continued. "Deathstar told me that he'd kill us if I told any of you, so don't announce it at the next gathering."
Murmurs of surprise roamed around the clan like singing birds. Ravenpaw glanced up at Hornetclaw.
"Is it true? Did DeathClan kill Lionfern?" He asked him with innocent, wide fearful eyes. Hornetclaw looked down at him with a grim expression.
"I don't know. It's hard to believe," Hornetclaw said, looking up at the sky bleakly. "Deathstar hasn't attacked us lately. It wouldn't make sense why now."
Ravenpaw nodded slightly, looking flabbergasted. Everything was so confusing. Who was he to believe? Foxstar, or Hornetclaw?
Foxstar suddenly glared at Ravenpaw. "If it wasn't for Shiningflower, Nightkit, and ℎ𝑖𝑚, we'd still have Lionfern with us."
Everyone glared at Ravenpaw. 𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝐼 𝑑𝑜? He thought. 𝐼'𝑣𝑒 𝑜𝑛𝑙𝑦 𝑑𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑚𝑦 𝑏𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑙𝑎𝑛...
"You're all lucky I'm here to protect you," Foxstar said proudly, as everyone says their agreement. Foxstar puffed out his chest proudly. "If I wasn't here, you'd all be doomed to Deathstars' claws.. Meeting dismissed."
