Ravenpaw was shocked when Winterpaw dug her claws into his shoulders, pinning him. Everyone watched, their expressions a mixture of shock, amusement, and horror.
Ravenpaw quickly flipped over, being much more powerful than Winterpaw, and pinned her instead, growling. "What do you think you're doing, attacking your denmate over a disagreement?"
"How could you stick up for DeathClan and Brightpaw? What, you a traitor too?" Winterpaw said tauntingly. Everyone startef muttering, with Foxstars eyes gleaming with rage and interest.
"Because I see the good in cats," Ravenpaw said, leaning down to get in her face. His eyes were pure rage, and Winterpaw looked intimidated. "Something you lack."
Ravenpaw dug his into her shoulders, deeper than she had done, before getting off of her and walking away. He saw everyone eyeing him with suspicion.
𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡'𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑦𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒? Ravenpaw thought grimly. 𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒'𝑠 𝑛𝑜 𝑝𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑡 𝑖𝑛 𝑡𝑟𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑟𝑖𝑑 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒 𝑖𝑓 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦𝑜𝑛𝑒 ℎ𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑠 𝑚𝑒. 𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑚𝑦 𝑏𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑓𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑑?
Ravenpaw was about to go into his den, being cut off by Squirrelfrost. He seemed angry. "Why would you do that??" He angrily whispered. "You just practically told the clan you like DeathClan and would fight your own denmate to protect them! Even if you didn't mean that, it's what it seemed like!"
Ravenpaw bristled. Why couldn't anyone see that DeathClan wasn't bad? "But DeathClan cats aren't bad cats," he explained lowly so Foxstar didn't hear.
Squirrelfrost nodded knowingly. "I know. Foxstar makes everyone believe they are because Foxstar and Deathstar went seperate ways."
Ravenpaw looked down at his paws, frustrated. He flexed his claws angrily. "Why do we still listen to him?"
"Because they're scared. They know they would die if they tried to fight back, just like Lionfern." Squirrelfrost looked at him, a spark of hope in his blind blue eyes.
"But something is different about you, Ravenpaw. You just have to wait."
