Chapter XI

Trigger Warning: Blood, Cutting, Threats, and Small Torture

Olivia POV

The fight has begun, and it's time to finish this. I'm taking her down, she won't stand a chance. I tell myself in an attempt to keep myself sane. I was stuck in combat with Annabeth, a very skilled fighter, as  Will fought next to me, trapped sword to sword with Percy. Mackenzie and Zach were off with their group fighting somewhere and I could't see them.

"OW!" I scream, holding my cheek with one hand, my other trying to knock Annabeth's dagger away, which resulted in me almost losing my sword to her. I swung my sword with as much momentum as I could gather and hit her dagger. Gritting my teeth, I pushed her to try to get close enough to make a cut. Now was my chance. She's distracted trying to keep my sword from getting closer to her neck, so I take my right hand off my sword and smash it into the side of her face hard enough to render her unconscious. As soon as she's on the ground someone starts shooting at me.

Frank Zhang. 

His shot is accurate so I need to get out of the line of fire.  I dodge between the trees looking for cover so I could fire at him with my own arrows. I pulled out my bow, and shot a couple arrows at him, but he avoided them by turning into different animals. So shooting at him was pointless, because he would just dodge them and I was already running low on arrows. I needed a distraction so I could get to him without him seeing me.

So I made my own.

Gathering water up, I threw it all over him so he couldn't see me scaling the branches below him. I did my best to keep my concentration and climb at the same time. It was tiring, and I was never good at multitasking. Finally, on the branch where he was hiding, I take the flat edge of my sword and knock it into his head, knocking him out as I catch a glimpse of Hazel running through the trees. Looking around at the army of Neptune, I realized that we weren't doing too well. Many had beaten their first opponents, but there were more at Camp Olympia than in our army.

I should probably call a-"AHH!" I screamed as Frank sprang at me pressing me to the tree with an arrow to my neck.

"Olivia!" Will yelled from where he was fighting Leo.

"Move and I slit your throat." Frank sneers, bringing the arrow closer. I sat as still as I possibly could.

"Okay, okay. Don't need to do that." I tried to coax him into bringing the arrowhead farther away from my neck, but I'm not Piper and I can't charm speak.

"Don't tell me what to do. But you can tell me where you're hiding out. And if you lie to me, I'll cut you. " The arrow gets closer to my skin almost touching.

"I-I don't kn-know. I really don't. I go wherever Neptune tells me to go and he hasn't told me where to go next," Frank pricked my neck with the arrow. "I-I swear! Please don't hurt me."

"What is your relationship with Zach Anderson?" He asked me.

"He's one of my best friends and is like a brother, why does that matter to you?" I said snarkily. Wrong thing to say, he moved the arrow from my throat and started slowly making a cut that snaked down my arm. I bit my lips to keep from screaming in agony. My nails dug into my other hand, as he took his sweet time, and I finally let a piercing scream out. No one seemed to notice me, up in a tree screaming my heart out.

My arm was covered in blood and Frank had a smirk on his face. I was feeling light headed and weak, and started losing my grip on the tree branch. "You're lucky. I wanted to kill you but Starlight said to leave it to her." And with that he kicked me out of the tree. 

Too weak to keep myself from falling, I fall towards the ground hearing somebody yell my name. I closed my eyes, afraid to see what will happen to me when I hit the earth below. But that didn't happen, because strong arms wrapped around me and held me tight. My arm was in agony, and I whimpered from the pain, afraid to open my eyes.

"Olivia? Are you there? Oh my gods your arm." The voice said. My brain couldn't figure out who the voice was, but I knew I was safe with them.

"Hey, Jackson! Shoot the blue flare it's time to retreat. We've already lost Mackenzie and Olivia and Will aren't doing so hot either. It's time to go." The voice said. I think it's Levi but I'm not sure.

Whoever is carrying me takes off running as I hear the sound of the flare go off. This is not what we expected. This is not what we had planned. Everything we had done for months was getting wasted. Was it even worth it? Did he say we lost Mackenzie? And that Will was injured. Oh gods, what happened?
