After being married for eight years, everything about their day was a routine. Sometimes it was a lifesaver, but sometimes it made Jisoo want to bang her head against a wall. The boredom of a routine marriage would often lead to certain thoughts... Is this what she wanted?

But that was sometimes.

Looking over at the body lying beside her, in the bed they both shared, made her forget all the thoughts. Her wife was classy, very put together, but sometimes had rough edges. All the things she wasn't.

Nope, Jisoo was rather the goofy type, serious only when needed, and the lovesick Romeo in their marriage. But in her own way, her wife was the same. Maybe that's why they've been married so long. Who knows, Jisoo was even surprised how her wife could handle her at times.

Their alarms would go off at the same time, although Jisoo would lie there and just spend the extra ten minutes staring at her wife. They told each other good morning and gave each other a kiss, often leading to the other not wanting to leave, which led to arriving at work late.

"Chu, don't forget to pick up my dress at the dry cleaners," Chaeyoung said, adjusting her collar.

"I won't, promise," Jisoo replied, tying her hair back into a ponytail.

Chaeyoung nodded, giving her a quick peck on the cheek before heading out the door. "See you tonight," she said with a smile.

"See you," Jisoo echoed, watching her wife disappear down the hallway.

Jisoo's phone buzzed on the bedside table, and she reached over to check it. A message from her partner, Lisa, flashed on the screen.

Lisa: Got a new mission briefing at 9. You ready?

Jisoo sighed, rolling out of bed. She quickly typed back a response.

Jisoo: Ready as I'll ever be. Meet you at the usual spot.

She glanced at the mirror, giving herself a once-over. "Photographer, huh?" she muttered to herself. "Well, let's go capture some moments."

Meanwhile, Chaeyoung was on her way to the office, her mind already shifting to the mission ahead. As far as Jisoo knew, Chaeyoung was a lawyer, working on high-profile cases. In reality, she was out on missions with her partner, Jennie, taking down targets with surgical precision.

In the car, Chaeyoung's phone buzzed. She glanced at the screen and saw a message from Jennie.

Jennie: Briefing at 9. Don’t be late.

Chaeyoung: On my way.

She adjusted the rearview mirror, catching her reflection. "Lawyer by day, assassin by night," she said with a smirk. "Let's get to work."

The day unfolded as any other, each woman diving into her double life with practiced ease. Jisoo met Lisa at their usual spot, a small café that doubled as their rendezvous point. Over coffee, they reviewed the details of their latest assignment, discussing strategies and contingencies with the ease of longtime partners.

"Think you can handle this one?" Lisa asked, her eyes scanning the dossier.

Jisoo shrugged, a confident smile playing on her lips. "Piece of cake. Let's just make sure we cover all angles."

Meanwhile, Chaeyoung and Jennie met in a sleek, high-rise office building that served as their cover. They moved through the hallways with the grace of seasoned professionals, their conversation low and focused.

"Our target is high-profile," Jennie noted, handing over a file. "We need to be precise."

Chaeyoung nodded, flipping through the pages. "Got it. We go in, get it done, and get out. No room for mistakes."

As the day progressed, both women navigated their separate missions, each oblivious to the other's true identity. By evening, they returned to their shared home, slipping back into their roles as loving spouses.

Jisoo was in the kitchen, preparing dinner when Chaeyoung walked in, looking as polished and put together as ever. "How was your day?" Jisoo asked, glancing over her shoulder.

"Same old, same old," Chaeyoung replied, leaning in to kiss her wife's cheek. "Yours?"

"Busy with shoots," Jisoo lied smoothly. "But I managed to pick up your dress from the dry cleaners."

"Thanks, babe," Chaeyoung said, smiling. "I appreciate it."

They settled into their evening routine, sharing stories about their day and enjoying each other's company. Despite the secrets and lies, their love for each other was genuine, a bond that had withstood the test of time and deception.

As they lay in bed that night, Jisoo turned to Chaeyoung, a soft smile on her lips. "I love you, you know that?"

"I love you too," Chaeyoung replied, reaching out to hold her hand. "Always."

They fell asleep wrapped in each other's arms, unaware that their separate worlds were on a collision course that would change everything.
