Chapter twenty-four

"One,

Two,

Three."

I whisper to myself as Ken and I walk down the stairs with Jack trailing behind us. Kens arm is around my waist and mine around his. I can feel everyone's eyes on us... What am I saying us for? I mean me. I can feel everyone's eyes on me. I'm smiling. But they can see right through it. Oh well. "PORSCHE!" Sally screeches and runs up to me. She gives me a big hug. I almost fall over. Sally is Jacks little sister. She has beautiful black hair, it's very curly but in the good way. She has tan skin and bright blue eyes. Sally is only 6 years old and doesn't really understand what's going on but she still looked at different. I love Sally I really do. She is the cutest little thing ever. I know she loves me too. "Sally, you really shouldn't do that." Ben says. He doesn't even look up while saying it. He stares at the ground. His black hair covering his eyes. I put Sally down and walk over to him. While I walk over I look around. Daisy, Carson, Mr. Hellip, Mrs. Hellip, and Ms. Partion are in the other room talking not load enough for us to hear though. Romeo is sitting in the chair looking down with his headphones in. Ben is sitting on a bench, I squat down in front of him. I put my arms on his lap and look up at him. "Look at me." I demand, he doesn't. I push the hair out of his face. He pulls away from me. "Ben, what's wrong?" I ask he tries to stand up. When he stands up I push him back down and sit on him. "Get off of me bitch!" He yell/growls at me. I hear Jack running over to us. But there are two sets of footsteps. A strong hand pulls me by the arm. It's pulls me to the floor. Next thing I see is Romeo punching Ben in the face. Jack comes up behind me and helps me up. He whispered "Are you ok?" in my ear. I nodded. "Never talk to her like that again you little jackass!" Romeo yells at him. "Fine I won't call her a bitch. She's more like a hoe anyway." He said smirking, it was an evil smirk. Like he knows something. Romeo pulls is arm back to punch him again but I grab his arm before he can. He looks back at me with pain in his eyes. Next thing I know Jack is punching him in the face. "Jack!" I yell at him. He looks at me with anger in his eyes. "This little fucker can't talk to you like that Porsche! You have done nothing for him to think that!" He yells. The adults must not be in the house. I look over at Ken and Sally. Ken is holding her and starting to walk out of the room. Once they leave I turn to them and just push them all away from each other. "Bullshit I don't have a reason to think that. This little whore has been using you and Romeo for years." Jack and Romeo both go at him. I stand in front of him so they could get to him. I look at him. "I'm sorry." I say to him. He looks at me confused. "I know you think you're right. But I'm not using your brother or Romeo. Now Ben why are you really mad? Because I know you wouldn't care about that. So tell me what's wrong?" I sit down next to him and put my head on his shoulder. Ben and I are close. Well I'm there for him and if I ever get in trouble he will have my back. I'm the only person he really trusts. "Why didn't you ever tell me? I could of helped, you were always there for me. You tried to leave me here alone. I wouldn't of make it without you." His voice is shaking. I grab his hand. "I'm sorry. The only person who knew was Romeo. I didn't even want him to know. I didn't want anyone to know. Please forgive me." I rap arms around his. He looks down at me with his brown eyes. I see some tears gather in his eyes. "Y'all ready for dinner?" Daisy asks.
