Chapter 7: The Twist

As the interrogation continued, Minghao's calm demeanor wavered. He finally opened his mouth, revealing a shocking twist. "Sana was cheating on me," he claimed, his voice filled with venom. "She was seeing someone named Mark. She was always around him."

Jungkook was taken aback. This was the first time he had heard of another man in Sana's life. "If this is true, why didn't you mention it earlier?" Jungkook asked, his tone sharp. "Why speak ill of her now, when she's dead?"

Minghao's expression twisted with a mix of anger and bitterness. "My pride," he admitted. "I couldn't dump her because of my pride. I didn't want to be seen as someone who was cheated on. We ended things a long time ago, but she continued to see Mark in secret. Both our families are influential. I couldn't risk the name losing face."

Jungkook scoffed internally. The story seemed too convenient, too perfectly timed. "So, you knew she was seeing Mark, and yet you did nothing?" he pressed.

"I couldn't afford to let it out," Minghao replied. "I kept quiet to protect our family's reputation. But she was a two-faced bitch who fooled everyone."

Jungkook couldn't believe the nonsense he was hearing. The idea of Sana, who was described as kind and loving, being a manipulative cheater didn't align with what he had learned about her. It felt like a desperate attempt to shift suspicion away from Minghao.

Jungkook needed to verify this new information. He decided to dig into Mark's background and find out if there was any truth to Minghao's claims. As he left the interrogation room, he couldn't shake the feeling that Minghao was hiding something much darker.
