Jungkook sat in his office, staring at the letter he had found in Sana's room. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The letter was unlike her—hidden away in a secret compartment, yet written in a way that seemed too emotional and rash for someone described as intelligent and composed. If Sana had intended to leave a runaway letter, why hide it so well?
He sighed, jotting down all the details he knew so far: Sana's profile, the hidden letter, and the strained relationship with her parents due to her boyfriend. His thoughts circled back to Xu Minghao, Sana's boyfriend. Perhaps Minghao could shed some light on the situation.
Jungkook decided to bring Minghao in for questioning. He discovered that Minghao, older than Sana, was her senior at the same college. Arranging for the interrogation, he observed Minghao closely as he entered the room.
Minghao's demeanor was calm, almost detached. He didn't display the anxiety or worry one might expect from someone whose girlfriend was missing. Jungkook took note of this as he began the questioning.
"Can you tell me about your relationship with Sana?" Jungkook asked, watching Minghao's reaction closely.
"We were close," Minghao replied with a nonchalant shrug. "We met at college, started dating a year ago."
"Where were you on the night she disappeared?"
"I was at my grandmother's house," Minghao said without hesitation. "My father can vouch for me."
Jungkook raised an eyebrow. "But no one else saw you?"
"No, just my father. My grandmother lives alone in the countryside."
As the questioning continued, Jungkook noticed Minghao's detachment. It seemed as if he was rehearsing answers rather than showing genuine concern. Then, out of nowhere, Minghao mentioned something peculiar.
"You know, once Sana had a nosebleed, and some of it got on my shoe," Minghao said, almost casually.
Jungkook's suspicion grew. Why bring up a nosebleed now, and so randomly? It seemed out of place in the context of their conversation. Jungkook decided to remain quiet, filing the information away for later analysis.
After the interrogation, Jungkook sat back, his mind racing. Minghao's behavior and the mention of the nosebleed were odd, to say the least. There was something deeper at play here, and he was determined to uncover the truth.
