Taehyun

To say I was shocked by how good it felt to hold Beomgyu in my arms was an understatement of epic proportions. He felt as if he was made for my arms. I never wanted to let him go, but I knew I had to. Not only did we need to talk to his family, but I needed to get him out of here before Hana discovered our plans.

"It's time to go, Beomgyu."

"I don't wanna."

I smiled before turning my head and pressing a kiss to his forehead. "I know, but we have to. We need to get out of here before Hana finds out we discovered her little plot."

I squeezed him tight when he shuddered.

"I won't let her get to you again, Beomgyu. I promise."

"I don't think you understand just how devious she is. She won't stop. She wants my inheritance. Her father's business isn't doing well. They see my money as a way to stabilize their business and keep them in the rich lifestyle they want."

"Not going to happen. Your grandmother intended that money for you."

"What about the prenup? Can she take the money if she has that?"

I shook my head. "Only if you marry her. The prenup is null and void if you marry someone else, which was why I suggested we get married. It'll also prevent her from trying to force you into marrying her."

Beomgyu slumped against me as if all the fight went out of him. "That would be really good."

I held him for a few more minutes, mostly because I wanted to, and then patted his hip. "Come on, get up. We need to go talk to your father and brother."

He climbed to his feet but didn't move away from me.

I was okay with that.

I grabbed his hand and walked with him to the door. "Let me do all the talking."

He nodded.

I pulled the door open and stepped out, Beomgyu at my side. Yeonjun and his father had been standing on the other side of the room talking, but they both looked over when we walked out of the bedroom.

Yeonjun frowned when he saw our clasped hands. "What's going on here?"

I knew Yeonjun wasn't going to like this. He was always protective of his younger brother, almost insanely so. I suspected it had to do with the abuse Beomgyu suffered when they were kids.

Well, he was just going to have to get used to it. I was here for Beomgyu, not Yeonjun.

I glanced at Yeonjun's father. "Did you know that Dahee's mother left Beomgyu some money in her will?"

Choi Jungsuk nodded, but there was a frown furrowing his forehead. "I did, but..."

"According to the terms of the will, Beomgyu has to be married by the time he is twenty-five in order to receive it. Hana found out about this little clause and forced Beomgyu to sign a prenup that strips him of everything even if there is a divorce, and that is something Hana plans to do just as soon as that money comes through."

Jungsuk gasped. "What?"

"Hana forced Beomgyu into this marriage," I said. "He doesn't want to marry her, and he's told her that several times, but she won't listen to him. If he argues with her, she gets angry with him and..." I glanced at Beomgyu, wincing at the paleness of his face. "She gets pretty angry."

I was pretty sure he didn't want me to start discussing what I suspected Hana did to him when he argued with her. I hadn't seen any bruises on him, but a lot could be hidden under clothes.
