Meredith's POV

Forty years ago, The Beatles asked the world a simple question, they wanted to know where all the lonely people came from. My latest theory is that a great many lonely people come from hospitals. More precisely the surgical wings of hospitals. Izzie, George, Sarah, Cristina and I are in the NICU ward watching over the quints.

"I have the best quint. Lucy, she just smiled at me." George says with a smile on his face when I look over at him.

"She's nine hours old, George. Besides Charlotte's the best. She's smart. She's got wrinkles on her forehead, very serious."

"Okay, A. This is not a competition and B. my quint kicks your quints' asses. Emily is strong, she won't let go of my finger." Sarah tells us with a smile on her face.

"Ah, hey! Julie has her organs on the outside of her body and she's still alive thank you." Cristina says when Alex and Genevieve both entered the NICU.

"Kate's the best one. Hey Sarah, we on for tonight?" Alex says, causing Sarah to look at him and smile.

"Yeah we are. Genevieve, which baby do you think is the best?" Sarah says while my daughter walks over and coos at Emily.

"They are all pretty great babies Sarah." Genevieve says with a smile before continuing to coo at the babies.

"True they're all pretty great babies."

"At least their biological parents wanted them unlike the retarded whore, whose parents didn't want her." Izzie says, causing tears to run down Genevieve's face. Sarah grabs Izzie's arm and pulls her away from Genevieve.

"At least I didn't have a child at sixteen and don't know who's the father." Sarah tells Izzie, who's eyes widened in shock.

"How do you know that?" Izzie asks Sarah in a small voice.

"My cousin works for the FBI and when I told her that someone was bullying my new friend she happily gave me the information." Sarah tells Izzie while I wrapped my arms around Genevieve.

"You okay sweetheart?"

"Yes Mama." Genevieve whispers before kissing my cheek.

"Can someone make sure that Kate's vitals remain stable? I have something to do." Alex asks while I look over at him.

"I will." Alex leaves and I give Sarah a smile.

"You and Alex, huh?"

"I asked him out earlier today and he said yes." Sarah explains before Dr. Bailey enters the room.

"Who's on call tonight?" Dr. Bailey asks us.

"I am." Izzie says while Genevieve was still cooing at the quints.

"All right, the rest of you go home. Sleep. All five quints are still alive. It's a good day." Dr. Bailey tells us before I gently grab Genevieve's hand and the two of us leave the room.
