Genevieve's POV

"How are you feeling?" Lana asks me as we sat in Mommy's office for my appointment. Lana sat in Mommy's chair while I sat on the couch with my feet up.

"A baby girl that I was particularly close to died a few weeks ago and I hurt myself. Then I found out that I have rheumatoid arthritis. Then I reunited with my foster sister Arizona, who I did not recognize at first."

"That must be hard. Having to deal with everything." Lana tells me while writing something in her notebook.

"It is hard but I am not alone anymore Lana. But Dr. Webber has a bunch of rules for the surgeons now."

"Any rules for volunteers?" Lana asks me.

"Not really. But he does not really give me any rules except not to go into the operating rooms. That could change though." The door opens to reveal Preston standing there.

"Sorry to interrupt. Genevieve there's someone here to see you." Preston tells me before I look over at Lana who nods.

"Go ahead Genevieve." Lana says before I get up and follow Preston towards a private hospital room.

"Preston, are my mommies sick?"

"No. Go and see." Preston says before I entered the room to see my former foster brother Denny Duquette.

"Denny!" Denny looks at me with a wide smile on his face as I run over to him and hugged him.

"Genevieve, my little butterfly." Denny says before kissing my head.

"I missed you Denny. But I got adopted by two ladies. You will love my mommies."

"Anyone who gave you a family is alright in my eyes." Denny says when Dr. Bailey, Alex, Sarah, George and Izzie all entered the room.

"Denny Duquette." Dr. Bailey tells him before giving me a smile and I sit on the bed, holding Denny's hand.

"Hey Dr. Bailey." Denny says.

"I hope seeing you here means that they finally found you a heart." Dr. Bailey tells Denny who smiles at her.

"No offence doctor but I'm not a big fan of hospitals. It takes something pretty special to get me in here. Other than Genevieve and my parents, this heart is the only thing that brings me to hospitals." Denny says.

"He was my former foster brother."

"What do we know about Mr. Duquette?" Dr. Bailey asks Izzie.

"Denny has viral-cardiomyopathy and that means his heart cannot fill and pump blood normally." Izzie pulls me off the bed by my wrists and I cry out in pain due to my arthritis.
