"what's gotten you all excited all of a sudden?" katie asks confused as she shoves a spoon full of cereal into her mouth. "beth" i smile excitedly, it was true i was genuinely this giddy to be going just christmas shopping, this was the first time i was able to buy katie a gift, and now i would be able to buy one for her family too, i love gift giving. "cheating on me with beth?" she laughs. "well, technically we aren't dating?" i harshly say as katie pouts. "wow el, wow." she asks all sad, of course just to earn a hug from me, which she got. "im joking love, she just wants me to go get some lunch and christmas shopping with her today" i smile. "sounds good, i need to get some christmas gifts too" she says as she finishes of the rest of her cereal.

i was wearing an oversized grey sweater, blue wide leg jeans paired with my uggs, simple. my hair ever so slightly waved and light make up, im not a big makeup wearer but you best believe we are gonna get asked for pictures today, and i don't fancy looking bad all over social media.

katie has already left to go shopping, she's gone to a different shopping centre so we don't bump into one another. truthfully, this is the longest me and katie have been away from one another, and it is dreadful.
but i couldn't think about that right now as beth was currently waiting on me outside.

"ELLYYYY" "BEFFYYYYY" we shriek as we see each other. we play taylor swift the whole way there, obviously. as we chat about recent events, what's been going on in each others lives, i loved having a bestfriend that i could hang out with who made me completely forget about katie, not forget just makes me not miss her as im having so much fun, you know? she is the only one who knows about me and katie but she isn't as known to what has been recently going on, i will tell her over lunch.

we pull up to mcdonalds drive thru, it's our holidays don't judge us. i order a nugget 6 piece meal  with a diet coke, whilst beth orders a cheeseburger meal with a fanta, it's been a long year we deserve this cheat meal. "so, how's you and katie?" beth smiles, knowing she's about to get every inside detail that nobody else knows. "good, really good even. she's been staying at mine every day and she's just asked me to visit her family with her for christmas" i smile just thinking about her, beth naturally looks ecstatic knowing all this information. "that's so cute your gonna meet her family!" she jumps in her seats. "yeah I'm so excited, nervous but excited" i smile, dipping my nugget into my ketchup. "don't be, they will love you" she smiles before continuing. "you say she's been staying with you everyday, you may aswell live together!" she laughs. "well, about that" i say, making beths head lift up in concern. "i was gonna ask her to move in with me, maybe after new years?" i smile making beth scream, like ear bleeding scream, the whole car park could probably hear us. "you definitely should!" she screams once again. "okay, okay." i breath out, i was really gonna do this.

me and beth get our gifts.

for katie i got us matching christmas pjs, her favourite snacks, a promise ring, a essentials hoodie, and hat she has been dying for. i may or may not shave purposely spoiled her, it's out first christmas together okay. for my dad i got him, a lynx set, guinness glass, a t-shirt and a new watch, seems boring but to him will mean the world. for my mum i got, her a new dress for M&S, a new tennis pandora bracelet, a perfume and a cute mug. i would buy her flowers but i won't see her until start christmas now so i will buy them later on.

for katies family, i bought all of the women: her mum, aunt and grandma, a bouquet of flowers. the men a new aftershave. and i got all of her siblings a card with money and chocolates, i don't know them to well so im not entirely sure what they like yet.

"ready?" beth says as we load the trunk with shopping bags. "yup!" i say jumping into the passenger seat. "so, where's viv today?" i ask making small talk, seen as there was nothing really new to talk about. "she's gone to the other shopping centre" she says. "no way, so is katie" i laugh, knowing them it's probably planned tho, i will ask katie later.

beth drops me home as i thank her for the incredible evening, katies car was here so she was home. i unlock the door and find katie on the sofa watching friends, as i snuggle up to her. "hey, your very cuddly" she laughs, it was usually her showing me affection, so to see me giving it is rare. "i missed you" i miss her head as she smiles. "i missed you to, mi amor." she whispers. "you need to stop google translating spanish" i laugh. "hey did you see viv at the shopping centre?" i jump up from katies lap. "yeah i met her there, don't tell beth tho she doesn't know" why couldn't i tell beth. "what, why?" i questioned. "well, viv knows if she knows i was with viv, beth is gonna attack me to find out her presents." how could i not guess that, classic beth.
"oh, true." i laugh before we finally head up to bed.
