'Cause when I call
I hope you pick up your phone

"You sure you can't come with us?" Lamar looks at Isaiah, his bow in his hand. "Nah, dude. Marlon's got me on lookout, remember?" Isaiah replies. "Besides, I don't trust you with a bow and arrow."
Lamar chuckles softly. "I said I'd give you one of my eyes as compensation."
AJ looks at the two boys. "Dude shot an arrow straight into my eye, left me like a pirate." Isaiah points to his eye gauze. AJ looks mortified. "Don't phrase it like that!" Lamar quickly explains that it was an accident, realising how freaked out it made AJ.

"You wanna come to the lookout post with me? I could use an extra set of eyes." AJ nervously fidgets with his fingers, turning to look at the girl on the bed. "Your friend's gonna be okay, there are other people here who can help her when she wakes up." Lamar reassures him. "Besides, maybe you can convince Isaiah to get rid of that stupid hat!" AJ laughs, and then nods.
"Awesome."

As they leave the room, Isaiah pulls Lamar aside. "Let's talk more when you get back. About your nightmares, and stuff." Lamar nods in response and walks away, towards the courtyard.
"Alright, little dude," Isaiah faces AJ, "Let's go do some lookout!"

The courtyard is pretty empty, with the exception of a couple birds pecking at the dirt. "Okay, you ready to climb?" Isaiah begins to climb up the rickety ladder that leads up to the wall.
"Lookout is pretty boring." AJ mumbles.
"Yup. It sucks." Isaiah sighs, and then gets an idea. "Hold on." He climbs down the ladder and scoops up a pile of pinecones. "How far you think you can throw these?" He picks up the first one, lobbing it through the trees. AJ picks up one, throwing it a decent distance.

This continues for around an hour, until Aasim and Marlon appear, arguing. "Crap." Isaiah sighs. "I'd best get you inside, before Marlon comes and gets mad at me for slacking off again." The music room was the first place he thought of. Louis is normally in there, and he doesn't do much. He'd have the time to keep an eye on AJ.

The sounds of an old piano flood the lobby of the school. "You'll like Louis. He's nice." Isaiah reassured AJ, who is fidgeting with his hands again. "Lou!" Louis spins around to look at the door. "Hey, it's the kid!" He cheerfully announces. "Can you watch him for a while? I gotta do lookout stuff, and Marlon's in a pissy mood again." "Sure, I got nothin' else to do." Louis agrees. "Awesome. Don't worry AJ, Louis doesn't shoot people in the eye with an arrow." Isaiah laughs, before leaving.

He returns to his station, looking at the tree line. He isn't sure how much time has passed, but it seems like the sun is setting. In the corner of his eye, he notices Willy, kicking a couple stones at the wall. "Willy!" He calls down. "What?"
"You wanna take over for me? There's a couple walkers you can throw pinecones at!" "Okay!" Willy quickly climbs up the ladder, getting ready to hit some walkers. Isaiah climbs down, patting Rosie before she runs off again. In the distance, he sees Marlon and the girl from before. She's awake, then. He sits down at the flag pole, staring out of the gates. "Marlon! We got walkers on the fence!" Willy calls. Marlon says something in response, but Isaiah doesn't hear it, because he found a cool rock.

"Goddamn it..." Ruby storms past him, clutching her hand. "Woah, what happened to you?" He asks. "The kid fuckin' bit me!" She angrily says. "Damn. You sure you didn't find any bites on him?" "I ain't in the mood for this right now!" She grumbles and storms off again.

Marlon calls out to everyone in the courtyard. "We need to clear a path for the hunting party, there's too many walkers out there. Get your weapons and wait at the gate!" He runs into the school, probably to get Louis.

Isaiah picks up his knife. It's his go to weapon. It has these cool patterns on the handle, and is pretty sharp. The girl from before leaves the school, alongside Marlon, Louis and AJ. He decides to approach her. "Hey, AJ. Hey, miss...?" He trails off. "Clementine." The girl says. "Nice to meet you, Clementine. I'm Isaiah." She nods and smiles. "You give her her weapon back?" Marlon asks Louis. Clementine takes out her knife in response. It's pretty sharp, and a hunting knife. Beautiful condition. "Good." Marlon continues. "We're gonna need you to put it to use. We've got a hunting party out there trying to get back inside. Need our help to clear the way." The walker groans are louder than usual.

"Seems to be a few more than usual these last couple days." Isaiah states, gazing out of the fence, next to Violet, who is next to speak. "Its almost like something drew their attention. Something like, I don't know...an explosion. Or a car crash." She says, bitterly. "Vi..." Marlon urges her to be nice. "Look, I didn't know any of that was gonna happen." Clementine apologises. "Sorry if it caused you guys problems." Louis clears his throat, helping to ease the tension. "Hello, Clementine. I'm Violet. Nice to meet you." He says, in his usual comedic manner. "What he said." Violet plainly grumbles.

"Alright, boys and- girls. They're starting to fill in." Willy commands. Violet opens the gate, and everyone steps out.
