I don't wanna go to jail, I just wanna go home
And I want those fuckin kids at school to just leave me aloneYelling voices. Loud, angry and muffled voices escape through the pipes. Isaiah jolts his head up, nudging Lamar. "Dude, you hear that?" Lamar snorts himself awake. "Uh...hyeahh..." he mumbles. Isaiah stands up, lighting a candle from their bedroom and leaving the dorm. Everyone else had the same idea, as Louis stood behind him, concerned. "You hear that too?" Isaiah asks him. "Yeah...heard a loud bang, too." Louis fidgets with his coat tassels. Lamar slowly moves down the hall, trailing behind everyone else. "Is that Marlon?" Omar quietly asks, to anyone listening. Through the broken window and rain, Marlon can be seen, standing in the courtyard, pacing back and forth, twitching slightly. "Marlon, you okay?" Louis calls towards him. Marlon turns to the crowd, looking pale and terrified. AJ emerges from the group, holding his gun.
"Where is she?!" AJ demands, pointing his gun at Marlon. "Where's Clementine?" Everyone is spread out around the courtyard, watching the scene unfold. "AJ, put the gun down!" Louis calls out. "Get this fucking psycho away from me!" Marlon shouts, his voice more raw than normal.
"Where is she?!" AJ asks once more, raising his voice and hovering his finger over the trigger. Rosie barks, and the thunder makes everything more difficult to hear. Marlon backs up, his hands raised. "She's...she's in the basement. Sh-She murdered Brody!" There's a loud thunder crack, as Isaiah's mind goes blank. "What?" Willy steps forward, AJ lowers his gun slightly. "Is that blood on your face?" Mitch asks, looking at Marlon, who proceeds to touch his face quickly, feeling the wet blood splatters. "Why Brody?" Ruby asks, confused and upset. Isaiah can't think straight, his mind is full of different thoughts. He thinks Marlon is lying. He doesn't believe that Clem killed Brody. He feels Lamar's hand on his shoulder, he turns to face him. Shock and disbelief paint both the boys faces as Isaiah realises his is scrunched up, and his bottom lip is quivering. Everything is so overwhelming, everyone's voices pile into one. "Did you see it happen?" "Is she a walker now?"
"Hey, Marlon!" A familiar voice yells. "You might wanna get your story straight." Clementine is stood behind the group, glaring at Marlon. "Clem!" AJ gasps, relieved. "You killed Brody. You hit her so hard, her head split open." The words ring in Isaiah's ears. He feels his face becoming wet, although he isn't sure if it's tears, or the rain. "That's a lie!" Marlon yells. "I saw you kill her!" The thunder cracks as his words leave his mouth.
At this moment, Tenn and Violet run out of the school, towards the commotion. "What the hell is going on?!" She asks. "Look at her hands! She's covered in Brody's blood!" Marlon points his finger at Clem, who looks down at her hands. They are, actually covered in blood. AJ looks at her, his face contorting into that of sadness. "Jesus Christ, Clem." Aasim backs up, and Tenn steps forward, visibly upset. "What did you do?"
Once the focus is on Clem, Marlon rushes forward, pushing AJ down and grabbing his gun.He waves the gun in the air, his finger on the trigger. Rosie is obviously frightened by the situation, and starts barking. Louis helps AJ up, and Isaiah holds this face of pure despair.
"We saved their lives," Marlon points the gun frantically around at the group, causing them to back up. "When ANYONE else would have kept walking!" Lamar slowly steps in front of Isaiah, shielding him slightly. "We fed them, we kept them warm! And this is how they thank us?!" Marlon continues his rant, pointing at AJ's gun.
"Guns being pulled, and murder!" The words leave Marlon's lips like a bullet to the skull to Isaiah. He keeps seeing this horrific image of Brody, bashed to pieces by God knows who. He didn't understand, and he didn't know who to believe. "Well, FUCK. THEM." Marlon screams, pointing the gun directly at Clementine. "Marlon!" "Jesus Christ!"
"You shoot me, and what do you offer up to your raider friends when they come knocking?" Clementine angrily replies. "What the hell is she talking about?" Aasim asks. "He won't do it, because he needs us alive." A mutual, disgusting feeling washes over everyone in the courtyard. The kind that makes your blood run cold, and your stomach twist.
