The day Everleigh has, in equal measures, eagerly awaited and feared is finally here. Everleigh is standing in her old room, feeling nervous, Mackenzie helping her put the final touches on her dress before it's time for her to make her way to the Throne Room.

She thinks back to when she first met Jensen and smiles softly. Never, not in a million years, would she ever thought that she would actually be marrying the man that had been so cold to her when he told her about the arrangement their fathers had made.

Everleigh knows that the road they are now on hasn't always been an easy one, but it all lead to this moment. It lead to her getting ready to marry her best friend and the man she loves with all her heart and she wouldn't change any of it if it means she gets to marry Jensen.

A touch on her shoulder brings her out of her thoughts. She looks over and sees Mackenzie telling her that it's time, a smile as big as her own on her face. Everleigh will always be grateful for the family she has found there and for the man that is waiting for her.

Everleigh nods and leaves the room, Mackenzie following close behind. As she walks through the corridors, she smiles to the servants who line the corridors wanting to get a glimpse of their new Queen.

She approaches the door to the Throne Room with Mackenzie, sending up a quick prayer to her father and smiles, knowing that in just a few minutes, she will be marrying the love of her life.

She stands in the Throne Room next to Jensen, hearing the Archbishop blessing their union, in front of guests from all over the Kingdom and abroad, including Lucia, who, as promised, is standing at the front of the large crowd, wearing a beautiful dress and a proud smile that could light up the room.

Immediately after Everleigh and Jensen have professed their commitment to each other in front of everyone, comes her coronation, and the moment Everleigh is the most nervous about. The minute the crown is placed on her head and she takes the vow, a weight leaves her chest and she is able to breath again.

They move on to the banquet, and spend the rest of the night being congratulated by everyone. Of everything that happened that day, and the weeks leading up to it, the one thing that will always stand out to Everleigh is the way that, the minute Lucia and Donna met, it was as if they were long lost friends who had just gotten reconnected. It amazed both Everleigh and Jensen alike.

Everleigh never expected to feel as she feels later that night, as she lays in bed next to Jensen, thinking that, after all that happened, she can feel this happy.

She is sure her father never could've predicted how this whole marriage agreement went, of all the things they would have to overcome to be together, starting with the way Jensen initially treated her to the way his Private Council was determined to undermine every possible chance they could have to make things work.

She lets out a content sigh, knowing that now things are as they should, with them together. She never cared about the crown, even if she knows that it's a big part of her life now, all she has ever wanted was for someone to love her as much as she loves them and she has that now with Jensen, even if their start was a bit rocky.

Everleigh smiles as she looks over at Jensen, sleeping soundly next to her, and before she lets sleep take over, she thinks that now a whole new life starts for the both of them and she can't wait to see what it will bring them.
