Y/N's POV

Just when you were about to fall asleep after the Jennifer incident, your phone starts ringing and when you see the name on the screen, you're sure Jennifer's is not the only ex you'll be tearing heads from.

"What do you want?" You ask as you rub your forehead. The little patience you had slowly disappeared from your body. Rhea looks at you questioningly.

"The concert tonight, are you two coming or not? Sebastian couldn't tell." Leith is just as straightforward, probably being annoyed himself to be awake in the morning.

"Oh shit."

"You forgot, didn't you?" Of course you did, you had more important things on your mind.

"Talk to you later, bye." You hung up the call. You could almost hear him huff.

"Is everything alright?" Rhea pokes you before asking.

"Yep, everything is good I just forgot... so, the reason why Leith kinda came over the day I got fired was because he called me to invite us for his band's concert but he sensed things were off so he came over and you two met and all that shit."

"Ok, Y/N, straight to the point?" Rhea's harsh undertone almost makes you doubletake.

"The concert is tonight, do you wanna go with me? Sebastian will be there too." You feel like hiding immediately after the words leave your mouth. It's dumb of you for even suggesting.

Rhea doesn't answer straight away.

"Sure, why not."

"Wait, what?"

"I mean, I don't like the asshole but me and him kinda have to talk and besides, I guess I don't have any right to say anything about exes, right?" Rhea laughs a little, trying to ease the mood.

"You damn right." You laugh too, kissing her after.

You text Leith with the information he needed to put you on the list. For the rest of the day, you two can finally chill. Rhea goes to the gym and you decide to tag along just to have an interesting view to help pass the time until it is time to get ready for the concert.

The thought of Rhea and Leith face to face made you uneasy but she seemed weirdly chill during the show, even as if she was enjoying it? Once the show is over, you go backstage for a few drinks and Rhea whispers in your ear.

"You know, your ex's music kinda smacks, and that makes me kinda sad, to be honest." You let out a loud laugh.

"I cannot believe what I'm hearing right now, are you ok?" You press the back of your hand against her forehead as if checking for a fever. "Have you been replaced while I was showering? Say something so I know it's really you." You joke, smiling through every word. An evil grin creeps on her face.

"His music kinda smacks but he doesn't get to smack you." Rhea whispers again and you feel your entire body heat up as she slaps your ass discreetly. Oh god.

"Y/N, Rhea, hey!" Saved by the bell.

"Seb hey!" You hug each other and talk for a little before Leith and his band show up. They talk with some people before he comes over where the three of you were standing.

"Congrats! You did great! The new song's amazing!" You've always loved to see Leith on stage. Besides, the new song they performed sounded more than just a little inspired on what you told him about you and Rhea. You make a mental note to ask about it later, hugging him briefly and when you pull apart you can feel the tension rising between him and the wrestler.

"You actually came." He says, straightening himself. His tone is deadly serious.

"I did, the things I wouldn't do for this one" She smiles devilishly as she touches your chin and because you're so close, you can see her flexing a little. The whole thing makes you wanna laugh. As if she'd ever need to impose herself over Leith. As if he ever stood a chance against her. In any way

"Oh I hope."

"But I gotta give it to you, you were great out there."

"Is that a peace offering?" He fake gasps, putting a hand on his chest. You roll your eyes. Asshole.

"Don't push it." You tell him sternly. You know how he can be an asshole sometimes and how that can lead to fires quickly, even more so if you have a jealous Rhea Ripley there. The tension could cut glass.

"I reckon we have some things to talk about?" He asks Rhea.

"We definitely do, be right back babe." She pecks your cheek before disappearing with him.

Rhea's POV

"Wrestlemania huh? That's big." Leith starts as we distance ourselves from Y/N and Sebastian.

"Yep. Do you watch WWE?"

"I do, yeah! It was kinda funny actually when Y/N told me you're who she was seeing. " The conversation dies down despite his initial excitement, although he continues after a while. "But I sense this is not what you wanted to talk about. So, what's on your mind?"

I hesitate for a moment, gathering my thoughts. "I just wanted to hear from you, I guess. I want to know what your deal is with Y/N." 

"Well, for starters I care about your girlfriend because we shared a part of our lives together. We have a history, and we've agreed to always be there for each other through faith and fire ."

"I'm gonna need more than that." I scoff. He turns his back to me, looking for some beer cans in the mini fridge. He offers me one, I accept it.

"Listen, I know some part of you thinks that Y/N is eventually gonna come back to me but that is definitely not true. Quite the opposite actually. Y/N is not the one to go out of her way to simply 'give things a try', that is all your effect on her. She loves you so much that it makes her want to try and be better, for you. Can't you see how important this is? She's not with you because I'm busy with someone else, she's with you because she chose you over me, because she chose something good over destruction for once. " I think about it for a second.

"It's just hard sometimes. Seeing how close you two are, and knowing you once shared something special. And the resemblance... it messes with my head."

"I can imagine, but the fact that we look alike is just a fucked up coincidence, nothing more." I look around, still not entirely convinced. "Look, Rhea, I don't know what I can say to make you believe me but I love Y/N, and I respect her and her happiness. And I would never do anything to jeopardize that. She deserves it. I want her to be happy, that's all, and I feel that's what you want too, right?"

"More than anything." I answered without hesitation. 

"Good. I guess we have that in common, too." Leith smiles, raising his hand for a handshake. I take it, smiling. Now, this is a peace offering.

We talked a little about some ordinary stuff afterwards. My history in WWE, dog, horror movies before heading back to the main room. Just as we were about to get there, he stopped me.

"Rhea, show her all the good things love can bring."

"I will." We smile at each other and go find our partners.

Y/N seems relieved when she sees us.

"So, is everything ok?" She asks, fearful.

"Everything is good, babe." I say more to myself. Maybe Y/N wasn't the only one making a good decision over her bad habits: I don't remember a time when I would have actually listened to my girlfriend's ex.
