"You know visitations are limited, and I've been too busy with Mum, so my apologies," Emily said to Christopher, who seemed more focused on munching the home-cooked meal she had brought for him.

"How has she been?" he asked, struggling to speak with his mouth full.

"Honestly...I don't know. I've tried everything I could, but it's almost as if her condition is getting worse," Emily sighed, staring at a chair in the corner of the small room.

He paused, chewing, and swallowed what he had in his mouth. "Were you sick?" he asked, as if he had just noticed.

She forced a chuckle and replied, "No...what makes you say that?"

"You always look like this when you're sick, Emily. I'm your brother," he said to her.

She bowed her head in shame. He had caught her lying. "I was...but it was minor, not something to be bothered about at all," she laughed nervously.

"Just try not to push yourself too hard," he said. "You've been through a lot already."

A smile broke out on Emily's face as she heard Chris speak. "Thank you, Christopher."

She watched the officer take his seat. Sergeant Robert as his name tag that rested by his left breast pocket said. He was a man appearing to be middle aged, he was overweight with his bloated belly struggling to stay in place in his uniform. His beard was beautifully trimmed and a bold mustache stood between his upper lip and nose.

"You must be the young girl who comes to see one of my prisoners," he said. He spoke in a low, rugged voice that carried authority.

Emily maintained her composure despite his intimidating presence. "Yes," she answered.

"Let me see...his files..." he flipped through the documents on the table. "Assault and attempted murder... your brother is one nasty boy"

"He's innocent, sir" Emily immediately stated her position.

"Hmmmm" he paused flipping and closed the file pushing it aside. "I'd only believe you on one condition..." his voice trailed off and he immediately stopped and began staring at the closed file. Emily watched him intently hoping he would listen to her. Her had called her in here so she thought she would have a chance to speak to him.

"Do you have any phones or recording device on you?" He suddenly asked looking at her, his eyes slowly rising from her chest to her face while his tongue flicked out, wetting his lips.

She was confused for a moment as to why he'd ask her the question but she needed help.
"No" she quickly answered.

"Good" he nodded. "You say your brother is innocent, can you prove that to me if I ask you to?"

"Yes! Yes I..." she quickly answered but he stopped her in her tracks.

"Don't move before the order, baby girl" he said, his aura had changed. His look was now very sinister. "I would like you to prove it with works not just words" he tried to make his voice as low and pressing as possible.

"Works..." Emily muttered to herself. The confusion on her face triggered a chuckle from his lips. She still sat in her confusion while he rose from his seat and walked behind her chair. She felt him grip her chair and quickly turned to look at him.

"Sergeant, I don't understand you" she looked up at him.

He gently placed his hands on her shoulders and ran them down to her arm caressing her skin.
"Fuck, young women like you always get me started" he whispered.
