Minji
A week has gone by, and Hanni is doing a lot better now. Even though I have to admit that she'd breakdown at the mention of his name. But, that's okay! It's normal. But right now what has me woken up so early is the sound of my private elevator opening and closing. With barely opened eyes I looked around and got up, the shine of the sun lighting up my room. I let out a yawn as I went out of my room. This time only in boxers with a white tank top undershirt. I rubbed my eyes as I made my way to the kitchen where I heard some noise. My back hurting completely.
I almost let out a scream at seeing the figure in my kitchen. "Mother! What are you doing here?" I asked with a slight bit of harshness in my voice. And before you yell at me for speaking to her like that, my mother has her own separate children now, and she's been out of my life for a couple of years now, basically since I moved out of the mansion. So I was confused on why she was here, looking around the kitchen as if she had noticed something off about it. Her eyes kept scanning until they landed back on me.
"You should've told me that you settled down, who's the girl?" I felt my eyes widened, what is this woman saying? "What are you talking about?" I asked and she gestured to me the kitchen, that did in fact now have some type of feminine touch that wasn't from me. "A woman lives here with you Minji, I know it." She said. "And even if a woman did live here, why would you care?" I asked and she let out a sigh. "I know your father lashed out on you, but don't take it out on me. I wanted to visit you. I wanted to see how you were doing." She said taking a step closer to me but I took a step back.
"You didn't even bother coming here four years ago. You didn't even call me at all, I left you messages and everything I could to get your attention. But I'm not going to ever beg that out of you ever again." I said and she looked away from me. "Who's the girl, Minji? You've never been the type to ever let a woman step inside your house. It was your rule since day one, wasn't it? That no woman will ever have you acting like a dumb and sappy puppy." She said and I wanted to tell her that there is one woman, and that's the one that's sleeping peacefully in her room.
I pinched the bridge of my nose as I looked away from her. "Yes, but I've changed. It may not be with every woman. But I do have one that I have full respect for, one woman that I'd lay anything at her feet. She actually means something to me." I said and my mother let out a chuckle. "I'm starting to believe my daughter is in love with someone." I threw a glare at her. "What are you talking about? She means a lot, but not in that manner." I said and she gave me a smirk. "Keep trying to convince yourself, sooner or later you'll figure it out." She said shrugging. I was already getting a headache with her being here. When will she leave?
"After all, you've never been in love. So you'll never know when you feel such things." She said as she came closer to me. "Despite everything, I still know a good part of you. And you'd never be this sensible for a woman. You'd never let her see this side of you. The soft and caring side that you hide underneath that thick cover of coldness and temperament." She said and I looked at her. "Think about it, she means something to you, I don't even mean something to you. You see what's going on there?" I felt like she was messing with my head.
"Stop, just stop." I said as I backed away from her. "She means the world to me, and I would never know how to explain that without it meaning what you think it does." I said and she gave me another smirk but before she could speak, I spoke. "She was there for me while you were gone. She kicked my ass and pulled on my ears so that I could get my shit together. I would be nothing without her, she's a woman that has earned my trust and the true side of me. And I once treated her like she was worth nothing, but I realized just how much she was truly worth. So everything went good from there. She's my friend, never nothing less or more. So, don't twist it around." I said, with a warning tone.
