Freen,

I know you don't want to hear from me, but please meet me at the club on Saturday at 7pm. You did promise me. I want the chance to explain. Even if all you want to do is shout at me. I don't mind, just meet me. It's our last chance to see each other. Whatever you might think in that beautiful head of yours, I love you and always will.

Please meet me,

Becky xxx

I knew I shouldn't have let Nam through my front door. She was on Becky's side the moment she opened her mouth, pushing the note in my face.

"I can't believe you have been ignoring my calls for two weeks," Nam glared.

"I've been busy," I replied, putting the note down on the table.

"Are you going to meet her?"

"No," I spat.

"Why not?" Nam replied irate.

"What is the point, Nam? It's over. I have moved on." I replied putting my hand through my hair

"What the fuck is that?" Nam glared grabbing my left hand.

"An engagement ring," I yelled, pulling my hand back. "Do you mind, my hand is attached to my body."

"You are marrying Alex Chen?" Nam laughed. "I don't believe this. Have you lost your mind?"

"This was the way it was always going to be, Nam."

"Becky is healing well by the way. Just encase you were wondering."

"She didn't want me," I whispered.

"What are you talking about?"

"I told her I wanted to be with her, and she told me I couldn't."

"Bull shit," Nam yelled. "She has been a mess these last few weeks. There is no doubt that girl loves you."

"It's too late," I whispered. "She has already broken my heart."

"Don't you even want to say goodbye to her? Tonight is your last chance. She leaves on Sunday." I looked at her confused. "She's going back to Forks for a little while to finish healing, then to LA to record the band's debut album with Garret. You have missed a lot in the last two weeks."

"Oh." It was all I could say.

"Freen, are you really going to let her leave without even seeing her?"

"Yes," I glared getting up. "Now if you excuse me, I have things to do. Alex is coming over later."

"You are such an idiot if you can't see that Becky loves you. If she did turn you down, it would only have been because she wanted to protect you. You know Becky has always thought you were too good for her." Nam glared walking off. "If you don't go tonight, you will regret it for the rest of your life." I didn't answer her as she left.

I wrestled with my mind all afternoon, changing my mind over and over again. In the end I cancelled with Alex, telling her I had a headache and was getting an early night. I got ready still undecided if I was even going to turn up.

I opted for the red silk dress my father had bought me from Paris, wanting Becky to see what she had let slip away. I pulled my hair into soft ringlets and was finally ready. Fuck it. I knew I had to go. I wanted the answers, no matter what happened now I was marrying Alex, but I just had to see her one last time. I needed this ending, so I could move on.

I picked up the envelope I had placed Beckys ring in. I couldn't keep it. There was a girl out there somewhere who deserved the ring more than me. I wanted Becky to find someone to share her life with. I loved her enough to want that for her.
