The final match day
Pats pov
I was tying my shoe lace in dressing room while the others were getting ready. My mind was replaying the fight again and again that I was struggling to tie it. I was frustrated when suddenly a hand reached out to my hand. I looked up from my seat to see nayu kneeling down holding my hand. She removed my hand and tyed my shoe lace. My vision was blurry. She cupped my face and wiped my tears while kneeling in front of me.
Nayu : do-
I immediately put my arms on her and she buried her face in my neck.
I: nayu I'm sorry I so so sorry I was just pissed off i didn't mean any of it nayu
She pulled out of the hug.
Nayu : we ll talk abt this later but first please remove this fight from your head and concentrate on the match. All the best play well alright?
I nodded my head and kissed her but something felt different something felt wrong. I ignored it and went out to the ground as they called me for the toss.
After match
As my coach told me and nayu to talk to the one of the reporters, I walked with her near the stands. When we were talking to the reporter one of the fans in the stands screamed
I : NAIRA KOHLI PATRICK JAMES CUMMINS
Her scream was so damn loud me and nayu looked in the stands to see who it was. It was a girl abt 14 - 15 yrs probably. I don't know I just felt like that's the kid I wanted to have. She was cute yet scary and her voice was so strong. She reminded of nayu. I saw the girl sitting in the stands. We thanked the reporters and i immediately held nayus hand and took her near the stands. The girl was sitting near the grill and when she saw me she immediately came to me.
??? : hello ma'am may I have an autograph from you
She didn't even look at me
Nayu : me ? I thought u came for him
??? : noo u are the best boxer I ve ever seen in my life.
Nayu: thank you
She gave an autograph to the girl
Nayu : are u not a fan of him
??? : he's my favourite bowler but u r my idol. I wanna be a doc like u
I felt happy that I was her fav bowler. She's just like nayu. Like our imaginary daughter.
Nayu : what's your name
??? : Bhumi for short
Nayu : bhumi cute
She smiled.

Nayu looked at me

I : maybe
Bhumi : ma'am I didn't see u play the tournament before the ipl. What happened

After this long the crowd saw us and surrounded bhumi and james. So I decided why not bring them in the ground. I guided them and brought them out.
James: woah I am in the ground with pat Cummins and naira Kohli and my bestfriend. I'm talking to pat Cummins and naira Kohli. Am I dreaming

He gave her a look.
I : how old are u both
Bhumi : 14
James : 18 btw why did u get us out. Usually cricketers don't care abt the audience

I : and I am no usual cricketer

She stood on her toes and stretched her hand and wiped my imaginary tears.
I : that's why u hate me.
Bhumi : i don't hate u but if u were on fire and I had water. I'd drink it.
I : and i thought this would be a good start of a great friendship.
Nayu : that's enough both of you.
I : already started ordering. Atleast get married to me first.
Bhumi and james laughed

Bhumi pulled james s hand who was still holding his head. Something was wrong with nayu. She was so dull.
