As the four kids left his home, Stein returned to his home and went to the mirror to call Lord Death.

'42-42-564, whenever you want to knock on Death's door. Still catchy after all these years.' Stein thought.

"Hiya! How's it going?" Lord Death said, appearing in the mirror.

"Fine, Lord Death. The two teams passed with flying colors, especially Ms. Albarn when she used Soul Resonance with her Soul Protect off." Stein said to him.

"Wonderful." Lord Death said, "I know she was probably very nervous about that."

"She was, she put Soul Protect back on almost immediately, and wanted to leave the area quickly." Stein said, pulling out a cigarette and lighter. "I heard the end of their conversation, she's very nervous now that she's aware you know about her witch heritage."

"As long as she doesn't turn into an evil witch like her aunts, she'll have nothing to worry about." Lord Death said, waving his comedic large hand.

"You may want to tell her that." Stein said, smoking a lit cigarette.

"I will tomorrow. They went through a lot tonight." Lord Death said, "Have you thought anymore about my offer?"

"I have... I accept. I'll take over Sid's old position." Stein said.

"Great! I'll have the paperwork done by tomorrow!" Death said as he held up his large hand, giving a two finger peace sign to Stein.

-Death City-

Maka opened the door to her and Soul's apartment.

"I think I've reached my limit for today." Maka said.

"Whatever you say, Witchy." Soul said, before getting 'greeted' by Blair the magic cat.

"Soul! You're back!" Blair screamed as she jumped it them, transforming into a human mid jump and hugged Soul's face into her chest!

Resulting in a large bloody nose.

"Guh!" Soul let out in shock, almost passing out from the breasts!

Which resulted in Maka hitting him in the head with her book again!

"Ugh!" Soul shouted as he turned to her! "Hey!"

"Stop copping a feel and get into the kitchen!" Maka shouted at him. "It's your turn to make dinner!"

'What did I do in a past life to deal with not one, but TWO magic girls?' Soul thought.

After a nice dinner made by Maka, the trio went to bed in their own rooms.

Maka decided to read, and wipe some of the blood off, one of her books.

'I have a feeling I'll be doing this often.' Maka thought as she opened her book.

From the sky above Death City, Maka was being watched.

"Wow, you really are just like your mother." A which in a black outfit said, grinning a bit. "Always in a book. I wonder if you have any other of her skills as well as any of you own. See you soon, my precious little niece."

She gave a small chuckle before flying off into the night, leaving a VERY promising piece in the game to herself.

For now at least.
