"I let her free and retrieved the egg, I did my job and I did it well" I shouted, Bagmans nostrils flared as he turned to look at me.
"You have diso-"
"What clearly stated law have I disobeyed sir" I responded. Severus stepped up beside me and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"I believe it is time we take our leave Enya, Dumbledore will wish to see you" Severus said, steering me to the exit. "You should not have done that, Enya, we are here to finish our mission, not to rescue dragons."
"She was hardly old enough to fly, let alone be thrown into a fighting position" I responded. I stared as the stairs changed shapes in front of me and just tuned out everything else. I knew what my mission was, I knew what I had to do and I was doing it.
"That is not your call to make,"
"That is when I am to be the one to wound her, to fight her. This was my decision." I insisted. I folded my hands across my chest and looked up at Severus. "I know what I must do, I will do as my father insists. I will do as he asks when he asks. But that does not take away from my own decisions. Freeing Essovious did not jeopardize my or my father's plans,"

"How many times have I seen you this year already Miss Malfoy?" Dumbledore asked, he ran his hand along the phoenix and sat at his desk.
"Far too many to count" I chuckled, feigning nervousness. It was easy really, the manipulation, the faux smiles and dumb chuckles.
"Yes. You are right, what is it this time? Is it about the spectacle at the first task? 'The dragon rider' I have heard your name whispered among the students and the portraits." He said, taking a quill in his left hand. Dumbledore was right handed, something was wrong with his hand.
"Ah, I suppose I have made a name for myself already have I not?" I asked, looking from the portraits around the room and then back to Dumbledore.
"Yes, I guess you've made multiple names for yourself Miss Malfoy" Dumbledore said, he didn't look up from whatever he was writing. "You may go"

"You rode a dragon" Hermione said, she put her hands on my shoulders and looked at me, she was incredibly close. "You, Enya Malfoy rode a dragon and you have nothing to say about it"
"I mean not really, before they went extinct people used to ride dragons all the time, " I nodded, beginning to think about the workings and fascinations of dragons and their bond to their riders.
"You are truly amazing" Hermione said, she hugged me tight and looked up at me. "I have not a single doubt about you winning the Triwizard Tournament, no matter how rigged it may seem I believe you are to be the victor"
"I appreciate your faith in my Hermions but I have a golden egg and not a clue what to do with it" I laughed. I turned the egg over in my hands, running my fingers across the golden, metallic shell. "I let her free, the dragon." I mumbled. I looked at Hermione and she smiled at me.
"I believe it was the right thing to do. '' Hermione smiled, she grabbed my hands and held them to her face. She was really, really warm.
"Her name was Essovious," I said, looking at the ground.
"A beautiful name given to a beautiful dragon by a beautiful girl" Hermione said, I felt my cheeks flush slightly as she called me beautiful.
"You are amazing," I responded, smiling at her. Her attempts to uplift my mood did work plenty fine.

I opened my eyes and looked around, examining the area surrounding me. It was dark, and silent. A small light began to glow in the center, it was blue like a flame. It danced around the place, beckoning me, calling me. I stepped towards it, reaching out my hand. It was a beautiful little flame, blue as the darkest nights but lighter all the more. In one swift moment, the light was ripped from me and then it disappeared.
"Do you see how quickly a light can be extinguished?" I close my eyes again and turn away from the voice. I wished to wake up, I didn't want to be plagued by my father and these terrible, terrible visions. "The blue hue of this very pretty flame, did not last very long after the light was extinguished did it?" I didn't answer, I refused to give him this power, I cannot. "Did it?" He shouted.
"No."
