Day ??

Theo and Amelie were talking in the kitchen, they had already lost track of time for more than half an hour. He had found Amelie and Clementine in the kitchen during a nighttime pantry raid. Winnie had already gone back to bed because it didn't matter how hard she tried, every one of her words was interrupted by a yawn. While the two women were there out of pure conviviality and hunger, Matteo was suffering from another of his usual sleepless nights.

The topic of conversation changed quickly with those two and this made the atmosphere light and friendly. With a smile, Matteo took a cookie and dipped it in Amelie's glass of milk.

-Besides, I want to ask you a favor... - He bit into the cookie calmly, feeling the milky flavor in his mouth. Amelie raised her eyebrows in a sarcastic tone.

-And what would be the favor this time?- She tried to remain serious, avoiding laughing, the truth is that Theo's expression that broke the previous topic had left her wanting to laugh too much.

-I've already spoken to Henry, and he's still not convinced. I don't have much hope anymore either. It's impossible to make him forget that madness of looking for a new place. - He drowned another cookie in Amelie's milk, taking the opportunity to take the package and a cup to make one for himself. Amelie's provocative expression had been eased by the expected seriousness of the conversation.

-The truth is that it's Clementine's house and I don't even want to stay here anymore, but I still don't know if it's a good idea. If we started living together to cover the expenses that came with this crisis, why separate it all now? - He closed the microwave door. A sigh came out of his mouth in exhaustion.

-I know that too, even the press has seen better days. Work isn't what it used to be... - Amelie stated, taking a sip from the cup. She, as a journalist, continued to work from home but Theo, who was a former soldier and current lawyer, did not have a guaranteed salary. They knew very well that soon, resources and money would become scarcer and that was undeniable.

-But what I need to ask you is something more special... - She raised an eyebrow, expecting an unusual favor.

-For example?

-Talk to Luna, she doesn't seem to have much desire to go. She told me she wanted to stay but didn't say why. I believe that if you and Clementine talk to her, she will eventually be convinced. Even more so if Winnie shows her the new things she can see. - He asked, uncertainly. The truth is that Luna was not a person shy about speaking but at the same time, it was very difficult to deduce the meaning she gave to things. - If we can't convince Henry to give up the idea, the best thing we can do is take Luna with us...
