Day ??
-Did you change your mind? - Vincent had asked, Luna had just arrived from the bathroom, Amelie was worried when she saw her entering the door, as was Theo. Henry was right behind her. Vinnie remained drunk so he teased her again. Matteo took a deep breath and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt again. The boy felt a touch on his arm. Luna grunted softly and asked her friend to let go of his brother.
She had made a decision. It was time to lose her fear and confront whoever had hurt her. Chills took over his body, his mind was dizzy. Memories seemed to appear in his mind like cold, cruel breezes. Either way, she didn't allow herself to take a single step back, for the first time in her life she would have to be strong and take a stand.
Luna didn't say anything immediately and Vincent moved closer to her, coming face to face with the boy. She didn't say anything right away, she stopped and looked him in the eyes, the first time she had felt real anger. What surprised the five friends was the dry sound that echoed in the room from the slap that Luna had just given Vinnie, right in the middle of his cheekbone. dissatisfied, she switched to verbal form:
-You will never touch me again, ever! No one will ever do this without me wanting them to and you are the first to be warned! - Luna wasn't as sure as her tone of voice but the hand that Vincent used to protect his face from the pain was enough to encourage her to continue. - You may think I'm stupid, forgetful and maybe deficient, but I understand the things maybe better than you! And as I understand things, I realized that I'm tired of being fragile and afraid! You will never touch me again, Vincent Aspen. - Luna had used Vinnie's full name to refer to him, which made him realize his mistake and rethink the three times he was attacked that night, so he swallowed hard. Her voice still shook slightly but her high tone showed a certain confidence. Luna hated being treated like she was a child. She wasn't a child and she wasn't limited or less intelligent than them either.
Vincent swallowed her bitter and correct words. He slightly realized what a big mistake he had made but he didn't expect her to have that kind of reaction. Vinnie's pride was too strong to let him speak, this was without a doubt an attempt at sexual abuse, there was nothing he could say to alleviate the situation.
-I thought you wanted it! - In a defensive position, Vincent tried to use his last strength to soften the conversation but this only made everything worse. Luna hated stupid comments.
-I begged you to stop! And you didn't even listen to me! - Her voice became increasingly shaky, anxiety was possessing her like an evil spirit.
Memories about the man also ran through her mind, she wanted to forget all that and pretend it hadn't happened, but it had, and it was a real nightmare. The memories with Vinnie mixed with the others and made her wish more and more to be able to defend herself. However, she was not. She couldn't impose herself as she would like, she wanted his respect and to regain her dignity, that's what she deserved.
Luna left the room, leaving her friends behind and returned to hers, which she shared with Amelie. While Vincent stood frozen, staring at the ground with his hand on his face, Luna felt followed, undoubtedly, it was Theo.
Memories with the man hit her as she ran then as Matteo closed the bedroom door behind him. She knew he was behind her without even looking, Matteo's lack of judgment surprised her, Luna expected another type of reaction but was very happy to know that he was open to knowing what she thought about all that. An impact brought the two together. Even after everything she hugged him without fear, that was her safe haven.
-Normally I tend to forget everything when I'm with you, but today everything was different. Hug me, Theo, please. - She said softly close to his ear, as they pressed themselves against each other even more, looking for comfort.
Unfortunately, there were no hugs in the world capable of comforting her, the memories were running through her neurons from end to end. She thought that when she remembered something from her past, she would be happy, but she was bitterly wrong.
-Why do people hurt me? Why do they hurt me so much? - She asked with tears bordering her eyes, she was going to cry and he was fully aware of it.
-He was drunk, he didn't want a magician...- He interrupted himself. there was nothing that was really right to say in that situation. Assuaging her feelings wasn't right, Matteo couldn't even imagine what it was like to go through something like that.
-Yes, he did! He kissed and touched me when I asked him to stop, no matter how drunk he was! But you've never given me a hug like yours, which warms me and comforts me. Doesn't he realize it's because of it that I chose you and didn't choose him? I hate being touched and everyone knows it...
Luna looked at the bed, the white sheets that reminded her of the bed where she was abused less than an hour ago.
-It's not your fault, Luna... - He argued, hoping that she would feel better, even though that was impossible. Her sad and displeased look showed how insecure she seemed.
-I know, Theo... I know so well... - She replied, sitting on the floor, disgusted by the bed. Looking at the bedclothes made his stomach turn, let alone lying or sitting on it. - I don't know if I should havw hit him, revenge makes me a horrible person, doesn't it?
- No, it doesn't, this time he deserved it. I've also hit him many times and even so I don't think he learned from any of them, if I were you I would have hit him harder. - He encouraged her. Luna felt a wave of security and confidence descend her arms.
-He has also tried you... You know... - She asked, curious.
-No, never, besides being brothers, if he tried I would have done something worse than you, I think I would have cut off his hand, honestly.- He says, Luna smiles at his response, in a much more relaxed atmosphere. - It's late tomorrow, let's leave early, good night.
-Good evening...Theo. -He says goodbye to her with a kiss on the forehead, full of affection.
-Sleep well and be okay, Luna... - He wishes her a night of sweet dreams and leaves the room slightly disappointed with himself, maybe he should have another type of interaction with her, maybe that one wouldn't have been the best...
-I'll be okay, I promise... -She lied, wanting a drop of bravery to ask him to stay with her. She knew he wouldn't accept it so she remained silent and watched Matteo calmly walk out the door.
Luna was worried about Theo, she was afraid that Vincent would try something against his brother. She didn't want to think about that possibility, pushing the dark and negative thoughts far away from her.
