Day 47
The summer sun was intense and felt on her skin, she didn't know how long he had been under that unbearable sun. She had escaped from that basement by luck. She ran until her legs begged to stop, away. I wanted to forget everything, I wanted to forget that day completely, I wanted to forget that dream that seemed like a nightmare. She didn't want to believe that this was reality, that she was walking, following the asphalt of the road, naked and aimless. Walking under a scorching sun, lost and without a destination.
However, after dozens of loud horns that honked at her when they saw her on the road, naked, there was a car that slowed down and stopped. He was a tall man, with blond hair, full of tattoos with thin black lines. He stopped the car and offered her a t-shirt that was probably his, it was huge on her body, almost like a dress. She didn't trust him, even though he asked her to come with him. She thought he would be like the man from that place, who was untrustworthy and would probably end up hurting her monstrously.
But no, the blonde didn't do any of that. He calmly grabbed her left wrist so she could focus on him, as if asking for a moment of attention.
-Are you lost? - She didn't respond. She just looked him in the eye. She was lost and it wasn't hard to notice. But she was lost and he was a man. She was scared, a sudden uncertainty invaded her chest, her first experience communicating with men hadn't been pleasant at all, but she preferred to believe that men weren't all the same, they couldn't be, after all, he seemed kind.
-You're scared... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you... - He continued, the grip he had on her wrist, however slight it was, bothered her.
-Just don't touch me, please... - She asked and he immediately let go of her wrist, seeing that he already had all the attention he wanted. She took the opportunity to cover herself with the shirt. - I just want to go home, please.
-Where is your home? I can take you there if you want... - The 24-year-old man smiled slightly, hoping that she would feel less bad about his offer and then he could take her home and finally help her.
-I don't know... Actually, I don't know... - She really didn't know, the only thing she knew was that she didn't want to be there, she didn't want to stay in the middle of the road, alone and lost. She hated the feeling of walking on a deserted road, being vulnerable to anyone or anything.
-If you don't know, you can always come with me, right? - He opened the car door, in the passenger seat. The girl curled up on the bench, comfortable in the cotton black shirt that had been lent to her. She accepted the proposal, every time she remembered what the man in the lab coat had done to her, she knew she had nothing to lose, there was nothing worse than what the man had done.
Meanwhile, the tall blonde looked intently at the blood forming a crust on her thighs. He imagined the cause of the blood, they had hurt one of them, hurting one of them was the worst thing that could happen, it was worse than any torture, worse than having your nails ripped out and your hair pulled, strand by strand. He was aware of the crazy things that used to happen in that place. Still, there was nothing he could do to stop all of this, at least not yet.

-I'll call Amber, you don't mind meeting her, do you? I'll get you some clothes... You want to eat, right?
Luna didn't really know why, but she didn't like that place. Clearly, this was a home, it felt like one, and Luna might not even have one, but she had doubts about that place. She had a feeling that soon she would prefer to be anywhere, as long as that place wasn't that house. A girl appeared, excited, the blonde was behind her, smiling, relaxed.
-Hey! I've never met anyone like you! Little sister, I know I have a few twins but you are the first one I have met in person! - The girl approached her, smiling with joy, like a child who had just received a new toy. She grabbed Luna's hand calmly, wrapping it in her own. Luna looked at her seriously, sister? Were they sisters? Twins? Confusion invaded Luna's brain as she worried about how she had discovered her family... Would she have more sisters? A family? And then, she pulled away the girl from her hand.
-I forgot to tell you, she doesn't like people touching her. -The tattooed blonde addressed the girl that Luna had removed from her body, with some fear. Facing her sideways, waiting for confirmation of the fear he felt.
-Who hurted you? - The girl asked, as if she already knew what happened. Luna's fear and trepidation rose, as if she felt something different, an undefined suspicion. The brunette was beautiful, without a doubt. However, her beauty was so great that she didn't seem real.
-A man... He had a white coat and then... We were in a basement or something and there were dead girls... And he... - Luna choked up just thinking about those memories. She didn't want to think about the dead girls or what the man had done to her. She hated that memory, it was a vision that haunted her.
-Calm down, everything is fine now... No one will hurt you from now on. We won't allow that, nor will he. Thanks to him, we no longer need to be afraid. Take it easy, he protects you...- The woman continued, trying to calm the scared girl dressed in a nightgown. Luna instantly realized that the beautiful woman wasn't talking about the blonde man.
-He who? Who is he? - Curiosity aroused in Luna, who worried about who the person who was willing to protect her could be. She raised her eyebrows then, filled with doubts. But, her question made the other brunette's expression change.
-Don't you know who he is? Are you sure you don't know who he is? - The woman had lost her smile. How could Luna not know who he was? They were all supposed to be aware of the news.
-I don't know, I just want to go home...-Luna lamented, she wasn't that interested in knowing the man's identity. She just wanted to forget all that and go home.
-Where did you come from? - Amber asked, looking at Luna's wrist. There was a heavy atmosphere there, a spiritual fog. She seemed more aggressive when Luna didn't respond. Then she took a razor out of her pocket. Luna watched her intently, afraid of what might happen.
Amber looked at the photos on the wall, upset, both she and Azazel, the blonde, were so similar... Luna wasn't like that, Luna wasn't like Amber and her boyfriend, she just wasn't.
-She's not like us, she's like them. - Their perfection contrasted with Luna, she wasn't like that, she wasn't perfect. She was a failure.
-But she has the mark! - Azazel still hadn't understood what had gotten into Amber. But Amber knew what was happening, she wasn't like her, she was human.
-She's human, like them, you know they have to die, all of them.- She continued, marking her hand with the razor to test it. However, soon after, she cut a small incision in Luna's arm, but when the skinny girl went to check, the arm was intact. She had woken up.
Was it a dream or a memory?
There were no scars...
She looked at Amelie, who was there, next to her, sleeping. She had already a family and it wasn't a bunch of crazy people like those. Luna's family were Amelie, Henry, Matteo, the now dead, Vincent; because he was Matteo's brother, and the almost elder sister she left behind, Clementine.
