"Dear Technoblade..."
Sitting on an unstable oak chair at a rickety birch table, I scratch ink into a small unfurled scroll of semi yellowed parchment, tears rolling down my face, staining it even more.
"You know I love you, boy. In every single way, though I love you, boy. I'll miss you every day." I pause a moment, collecting my thoughts
"Oh, I love you, boy. I wish that I could stay with you and keep the life I made with you..." I glance up at the doorway to the small room, hearing shuffling, but choosing to ignore it, I continue.
"And even though this feels so right, I'm holding back the tears tonight." I pour my feelings into my words, rounding my letters with my pain and heartbreak.
"It's true I'll never be over you, 'cause I have built a future in my mind with you. And now the hope is gone, there's nothing left for me to do. You know it isn't true, but I must say to you...that I don't need your love."
"I don't need your love." I restate, trying to make it convincing for him, and myself. "It'll never be better than it was, but I don't need your love." I swallow a fresh batch of tears.
"I've got no choice! With the President I stay alive. But I've never had a choice...been a wife twice before, just to survive. So I don't have a choice, if Jschlatt says "It's you", then it's you. No matter how I feel, it's what I have to do."
"But if, somehow, I had that choice. No holding back, I'd raise my voice!" I glance up again at the small noises echoing around the ravine, then re-focusing on my task.
"I'd say "Jschlatt , yeah it's true, I'll never belong to you! 'Cause I am not your toy, to enjoy 'til there's something new. As if I'm gonna give up my boy, my work, my dreams to care for you. Ha! Darling, get a clue! There's nothing you can do, 'cause I don't need your love! No, I don't need your love, there's nothing left to discuss.'Cause I don't need your love."" My smile, my power slowly slips away as reality slows my thoughts down.
"But the thing is I can't say that...not to the President. So this is goodbye, all my love, Y/N." Brushing away any fallen tears, I carefully roll up the scroll, wrapping a red ribbon around its middle tightly then tying it into a bow, I grab my satchel off the ground, slipping it over my shoulder, and placing my cloak over my shoulder as well, I leave the room. Advancing towards the birch door, I place my hand gingerly on it and pushing it open, I see it's empty of any conscious occupants. Pacing over to the bed, Techno remains fast asleep on his side, facing towards me. I lay the coiled letter on his night table, beside his axe in its sheath. Glancing at his peaceful face, I memorize his handsome and precise features. Taking a few steps further, I stop just at the bed frame, leaning down to place a chaste kiss to his temple, careful not to disturb him. Backing away, tears begin to pour freely down my cheeks.
"Please don't forget me, my love." I whisper, then walking through the door and closing it, I make my way through the button covered stone hallway, climbing the deadly wooden stairs then out into the surface world, not looking back once, preparing myself for my new future.
