Shantelle's POV

I woke up a little late today because of staying up late last night. I plan to visit the production plant this morning so I could work in my office the entire afternoon.

The morning air is quite humid today. I matched my outfit to the weather and opted for a white tank top, washed jeans and cream sneakers.

Since the plant is about an hour away from my house, I quickly ate the remaining portion of my french toast and hopped into my car to start driving.

The first 15 minutes of driving was good but I felt bored and sleepy after. To kill the silence, I sent a message to Tiara saying "free to call?"

Within a few minutes, Tiara replied "hell yeah!"

I smirked at her message and clicked the call button int he upper right portion of the screen.

After few rings, Tiara shouted "Kumusta na ang namimiss kong best friend!"

"Ay ang daming energy ah"

"Syempre! Tiara strikes again!" I can already imagine her throwing her fists in the air

"Ang ganda mo talaga." I said in a sarcastic way

"Syempre naman, the one and only Tiara needs to have the tiara!"

"Ilan na nabiktima mo diyan"

"Hmmmm two?"

"Konti hahhahahaha"

"May dalawang araw pa naman, Looking forward to it. Single life is the best talaga."

"Kamusta naman single life mo this past week?" Tiara said

"Grabe naman ito maka single life. Sakit ah"

"O bakit ano nanaman ba ang nangyari sayo? May humusga ba sayo except for me and only me?"

"Dead right! Kahapon lang, yung supplier ko pa"

"OMG!! Di ko alam bakit ganyan parati ang mga matatanda. Pinapamukha nilang problema ang pagiging single."

"Oo ngaaa, I hate it. Parang gusto ko mag solo travel, any suggestions on where to go?"

"First question, kailan ka ba free? Ako mismo ang magplaplano ng pupuntahan at gagawin mo. Just give me the dates"

"Uhm, meron ba yung mga 3 days 2 nights lang?"

Of course! Saan mo ba gusto? Ang suggestion ko para sayo either cebu, siargao or batanes."

"Parang gusto ko yung siargao. Pero wala pa akong final dates ah kasi di ko pa alam kung kailan konti lang ang trabaho."

"Wala ka naman atang free time eh. Just update me kung meron na."

"Sige sige"

I was already near the exit of the freeway so I ended the call with Tiara to concentrate on driving.

After many left and rights, I finally arrived the production plant. I just gathered my things and files before getting out of my car.

Walking to the main office of the plant, I was greeted by many employees with smiles on their faces.

To be honest, I am very grateful for these employees because during the time when the company is struggling financially, they were the ones who volunteered to help do extra work with the same amount of pay. I can see their dedication to the company and how they treat it as their own.

I just walked around the plant to see if there are any problems that I need to address or any planning concerns I can help with.

For the rest of the morning, I had a meeting with the department head and the suppliers to finalize the timeline of the importations and deliveries for the next month.

Once the clock strikes twelve, I heard the bell ring. Signaling that it is already the start of lunch break. I just summarized the important points from the meeting and dismissed the group for them to have adequate rest before going back to work after an hour.

Since my work is already done in the production plant and my stomach is already growling over the past hour, I drove my car to the nearest fast food restaurant and ordered their popular super meal.

While eating, I saw many families enjoying their simple lunch together. Again, it killed my good mood.

I sent a message in my family's group chat telling them that we should go out together this weekend. Fortunately, they all agreed and planned to go on a day trip to tagaytay on Sunday.

I also made it clear to myself to finish the remaining task that I have in my office by tomorrow so I could spend more time with myself and my family this weekend.

After few hours of sitting down and work in the afternoon, my shoulders and lower back started to feel uncomfortable. I stood up and walked around the office and to other departments for a bit to soothe it temporarily. However, the backache still persisted for the rest of the day.

I left work early because of this and headed directly to the gym to reduce my backache. I did some cardio exercises and attended aerobics class for about two hours and went the sauna to end the day.

My body felt very relaxed and refreshed afterwards. I did not waste any time and  quickly drove home before fatigue would hit my senses.

Reaching home, I just ate a light dinner and went back to my room to get ready for bed.

The thought of attending blind dates suddenly crossed my mind. Thinking about it, my inner thoughts is deliberating on the matter.

*deliberation with my inner thoughts*

Should I attend blind dates?

I'm already 24 is it still to early? I want to achieve something first before finding for someone tho.

Should I start already so I could have a source of motivation?

But I don't like to be in a situation like my aunt. Where she gave up on pursuing her dreams for love and in the end, the her long time bf also left her. Such a waste of time.

Ughh but I feel so lonely. Hmm, how about dating apps?

Meh, people there most probably wants lust over love.

What if I fall for someone who won't like me back? What if they only like to pursue me because of my profession or for business? Ughh if chinese parents knew about this, they would definitely push their sons to date me.

I don't like an arranged marriage. I want a marriage that is centered around love, respect, and commitment.

*end of deliberation*
