A/N hey hey hey picture of Ky above. I really hope you guys are enjoying the story, and
here's part 14! You get to learn about Ky in this one!Casey's POV
"So... How long have you gone to Portland High?" I asked trying to make conversation.
Ky was concentrating on writing down safety procedures when I asked him, so of course, his answer came after an annoyed grunt.
"Since I was a sophomore. Any more questions? I'm trying to finish these" he said nodding toward his notebook.
"Geez I'm just trying to be friendly. I'm new here, I don't want to not have any friends." I added, scooting my chair up.
He scoffed and set his pen down.
"You think I'm going to be your friend? Wow, WHERE did you come from? I don't know anyone who actually wants ME as a friend."
I looked confused as I said, "why? What's wrong with you?" I smirked. He just stared at me with an unamused face.
"It was a joke..." I said quietly.
He continued writing again, mumbling something like "it wasn't a funny one". Then he glanced over at my paper, probably wandering why I wasn't writing.
"Uh, does your hand not work?" he asked sarcastically
I smiled nicely, trying my best to handle his attitude.
"I finished a while ago. I write really fast" I responded smugly.
"Oh and I bet your hand writing is perfect too, huh."
I looked down at my words which were anything from perfect. Luckily it was legible. I just laughed at what Ky said, and focused back on the teacher. I noticed out of the corner of my eye, Ky looking at my paper to see why I was laughing. He silently laughed as well.

The bell rang for the passing period, and I got all my stuff together before heading to the door. I watched as the Lachlan guy went up and whispered something to Ky who didn't look happy to see him.
Lachlan was talking fast and frantically, while Ky was just trying to walk away. I thought about going over there to tell Lachlan to shove off, but Ky would be mad if I stepped in. I kept walking toward my fourth period class, when I heard someone shout my name. I turned to see that it was no other than the devil himself.
"Cassandra! Wait up!" he yelled as I turned back around. "Wow it must be avoid the Australian guy day. Would you slow down, damn!"
He caught up to me and put his hand on my shoulder, trying to be gentle.
"What do you have fourth period?" he asked once he got me to slow down.
"Math" I said curtly tying to get him to go away like Ky was doing a minute ago.
"With Mr. Geoff?"
Dammit.
"Maybe" I answered
"He's my fourth period also. May I walk you there? You being new and all."
He actually seemed kind of shy when he asked. It didn't really seem like I had a better option, so I nodded reluctantly and let him lead the way.
"Alright cool, this way m'lady"
I grunted.
"Wow you really don't like me do you?" he chuckled.
"You could say that, yeah"
