Hey again. I'm not even going to say all that 'comment blah blah blah opinions blah blah'. Just... enjoy the chapter xD

Casey's POV

Our Junior year of highschool seemed to drag on. Luke and I ended up breaking up because he was going on vacation with his family all summer. Sarah met this guy Jason, and they ended up being too different for each other. Ezra finally got the courage to ask out Emalee, but I don't think that's going anywhere. I actually think he has a thing for Grace.

Speaking of Grace, Jake tried going there, but chickened out. Zander still hasn't found anyone yet, but we all hope he will. As for Artie, he and Josie are just friends now.

We all promised each other we would stay in touch over the summer, but it didn't really matter. Because I was leaving. My parents thought I should get a better education for my senior year. Artie wasn't very ecstatic to hear the news. None of my friends were. But I'll still be Artie's next door neighbor. And his best friend. Going to a new school wont change that. Will it?

I woke up the first day of school with a huge headache, a sore back, and a bad attitude. My mom got a new job, and so she always wakes up early to make breakfast and drive me to school. I swear, I'm the only Senior on the planet without a car.

I shuffled reluctantly down the stairs and sat at the kitchen table.

"Mornin' not so sunny sunshine!" my mom yelled cheerily.

I winced in pain, grabbing my head hissing, "mom seriously, ow"

She laughed and slid a plate of waffles in front of me. I picked up the fork, and silently poked at them, until they were most likely soggy and cold.

After not eating breakfast, I looked at the time, noticed I would be late on the first day, and ran upstairs for a shower. It was a good thing I had picked out my clothes the night before, otherwise I would be a total train wreck.

I slouched into the front seat of my mom's car, and tossed my bag on the car floor. The whole ride, I had my face pressed against the window, dreading the moment that I would have to take my face off of it to go in the school.

Portland High, home of the Beavers. Really? Beavers? Why not something interesting like the Kill Me-Knows?

As my mom parked the car in the parking lot, she turned to me and put on a sad expression. She took a long sigh, and I knew a sympathy talk was coming.

"Listen, Cassandra. I know you miss your friends, and Artie especially. But here you can make more friends. Better friends even. I just want you to know that it's possible. Have a great day sweetie" she said kissing my head.

I got out of the car and swung my bag over my shoulder. It was raining outside, and I was grateful I wore my black jacket so I didn't get soaked.

I huffed, put on an annoyed face, and started my walk toward hell.

They hadn't given me my schedule in advance, so I had to find the front office, which I for some reason, assumed would be at the front of the school, but wasn't, so I wound up getting lost. And more frustrated.

"Yo! Sulky girl! You lost?" said an Australian accent by the building closest to me.

I slowly turned to see a delinquent looking guy leaning against the wall, his arms folded over his leather jacket. I ignored him and just kept walking, but he ran after me.
