Hello hello hello! Welcome to part 4. I know most people skip the authors note to start reading the story, I know I do, so I'll make it short. Enjoy the chapter and make sure to vote and comment telling me what you think. Criticism is advised :P
Casey's POV
Artie knocked on my front door the next morning around 6:30, which was unusual.
I opened the door slowly and looked at what he was wearing; red and black pj pants. That's it. My breath hitched when i saw he wasn't wearing a shirt, but i was sure to cover it up with a fake yawn.
"What's up Artie?" I asked sleepily. "My parents are asleep"
He looked up at me with regretful eyes, and swung his hands in front of him from behind his back, showing me a stack of clothes.
"Our water shut off again..." he answered sheepishly with a stupid grin.
I sighed with a smile, and ushered him inside. We walked quietly upstairs and he went into my bathroom that connects to my room to take a shower.
"You can always come in y'know, to conserve water" he said with a cheeky smirk.
I pushed him in the bathroom and slammed the door in his face. "Shut the hell up Artie" I said laughing at the door.
While Artie was taking a shower, I sat down on my bed and picked up my iPhone. I had a new message from Jake and a twitter notification. I unlocked it, and went straight to twitter. Jake will have to wait. I started tapping my foot impatiently as the app loaded up. When it did I went to see that Luke had followed me last night.
I shrieked and jumped up on my bed. I heard the shower turn off and saw Artie run through the door with a loose towel around his waist.
"What happened!" he whisper yelled, trying not to wake up my parents.
I stared at him while blushing like crazy. He just looked at me strangely. Then he looked down at the towel, and at my cheeks.
"Are you blushing because of me?" he asked pointing at his chest.
I nodded gripping my phone tightly.
"Okay why did you scream..." he asked covering his abs with a shirt.
"Luke...followed me on Twitter..." I mumbled embarrassingly.
He folded his arms and laughed, "seriously? How does this guy have such a spell on you? He isn't even that good looking"
Artie was partly right. Luke was like a 7 at most, where Artie was a 9 at the least. I wasn't sure why i was comparing Luke to Artie, of all people, but he is one the most attractive guys i know.
But then again, I didn't like Luke for his looks, it was his personality that stood out. Every girl liked Artie for his looks.
"I don't notice his looks often. I like him because he acts like himself" I said looking at my phone.
Artie just looked at me sadly, "You aren't like most girls, Case" and walked back into the bathroom to change.

We got to school late like we used to, and Artie and I got detention. I guess we were later then we thought.
Mr. Filtch introduced a new student to us once we all got settled in our seats.
"Class, this is Sarah Thomson. She just transferred to our school from Colorado. Everyone make sure to make her feel welcome. Sarah, go have a seat next to Jake. Okay lets get started-" Mr. Filtch droned on and on for the rest of the hour. I noticed Jake kept stealing glances at Sarah, but she seemed to be engrossed in the book she was reading, The Maze Runner.
