Enjoy part 16!
Sarah's POV
The first week of our senior year started slowly, and awkwardly. When i got to school on the first day, the first person i ran into was Jason. It must be karma or something. This is basically how it went down:
"Oh... Hi Jason..."
"Sarah... How was your summer?" he asked, scratching the back of his neck.
I looked at the ground, finding an answer. My summer, honestly, sucked. My dog had died, none of my friends were available to hang out with, so I spent my whole vacation reading.
"Um it was really good actually" I lied quickly.
He stared at me disbelievingly.
"Why do i get the feeling you're lying to me?" he asked calmly.
"I gotta go Jason, I'll see you around" I answered walking past him quickly.
He turned and gently grabbed my arm before I could get anywhere. Leaning close to my ear, he whispered, "Did it mean nothing to you? Nothing at all?"
I felt tears creep up in my eyes.
"Just let me go Jason. Please." I cried out quietly.
He let go and I ran to my first class of the school year.

"NO. WAY. SARAH!" Emalee yelled in my face.
"Would you PLEASE keep it down? Gosh, I haven't even told my parents!"
She stared at me like I was nuts.
"You were GOING to tell your parents?! Wait, isn't your whole family Christian? Don't they have some weird beliefs about that?"
"Oh no. Emalee? What if I'm..." I muttered.
"Oh. OH. Oh my god, Sarah... Whatever happens, we're here for you. Who else have you told?"
I laughed nervously. "Um no one! This is kind of personal! Oh god should I take a test?"
She looked at me wide-eyed. "How long ago was it, exactly?"
I counted on my fingers. "Uh 3 weeks ago I'm pretty sure."
"Wait. It was your first time, and you don't remember the exact date?"
I shook my head.
"Were you guys even being safe?"
I looked down at the ground in shame.
Emalee pulled me into a hug whispering "It'll be okay" in my hair.
I wasn't so sure about that.

I got home that day and hopped on Skype. Once I saw that Casey was online, I decided that now was the best time to tell her.
My screen said connecting, and then I came face to face with Case.
"Sarah! Hi!" she yelled happily. Once she saw my serious expression, she knew something was up.
She sighed. "Spill."
